[Contest Over] Winners Announced: Get the Online Raw Foods Home Study Course – Free?

  • VOTING IS NOW CLOSED, AND THE WINNERS ARE…

I’ve never run a contest where people campaigned to win. Others emailed me that campaigning was “cheating.”

Some people emailed me that I, or Beth, and/or Susan should pick the winners; they were disappointed this had become a “popularity contest.”

Others emailed me that the only fair way to run a contest was by lottery. That I should let God/the gods/the fates/chance decide the outcome.

Dr. Ann WigmoreA member of the Board of Trustees called…

    Hundreds of emails…

I saw validity in all of this advice, and modified the contest a bit…

I’m awarding FIVE Grand Prizes of a Platinum Membership to Dr. Ann Wigmore’s Raw Living Foods Lifestyle Online Home Study Program RawLife.org, and the winners have been picked using ALL of the above methods:

    #24 – Jodi Brock (766 votes, 31%)
    #45 – Jerry Strongheart Crowley
    #103 – Cora
    #155 – Rose Kreger (809 votes, 33%)
    #171 – Wendy (434 votes, 18%)

Congratulations, one and all! I’ll be in touch with the winners via email. No, I’m not going to say any more about why these people won. Otherwise, I’ll get another 300 letters and comments.

I will say that Beth, Susan, the Trustees and I are partial to those who use the Home Study Program to teach others, to those wanting to raise a raw family, to those who put extra effort into their entries, and to those who care enough to campaign for it. In particular we were looking for people who would actually implement this into their lives. I find it… frustrating… when I give away a book or video, then, months later, I visit and find it unopened on a shelf, as if one could learn by osmosis.

To ALL who submitted an entry, Thank You. My heart and prayers are with you! Gosh, I wish I could give a free membership to everyone.

Keep an eye on chiDiet.com/blog because I’m going to have another giveaway, soon!

    A letter from Wendy (#171):

    Dear Jim,

Thank you, thank you and thank you again.

Wendy on the HeathI have jumped for joy, danced around, and generally totally unsettled myself in the couple of hours since your mail arrived. And I’m still more or less speechless.

Your lovely letter with the pearls of wisdom deserves a fuller reply, but I just can’t manage that at the moment. But I make you a promise: I will work at the course, and I will pass on what I learn.

    Until I’m calmer…

    With love and light.

    Wendy

    Dr. Jim,

Thank you for this free lesson.  I can’t wait to get started.  I will try my best to make this work for my husband and myself.

    Again many thanks.

    Cora

    Dr. Jim:

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win the Home study course. It is truly a blessing and such a wonderful Christmas present.

Thank you so much and Happy Birthday!

I look forward to studying the materials and obtaining my certification so that I can teach others.

I will graduating April 2010 with a MSW in Clinical Studies and it’s only because of friends and family that I have been able to continue my schooling and studies since the stroke. They have all been supportive in my recovery and now they cheer me on with the Raw food lifestyle.

So many people have watched me go through 6 grueling months of rehab and now they are still watching me lose weight, be vibrant and healthier than I have ever been.

This Course is a God Send and is pinpointing me in a new direction, a new journey that I totally feel comfortable in and am embracing.

Through my recovery process from the stroke, I wanted to give back to the community and I had lots of time on my hands so I developed a Community Garden called the Seeds of Hope Community Gardens located in Lapeer, MI. It is on over an acre of donated property, as organic as we can possibly be, and all the fresh produce is given free to those in the community.

I started monthly classes cause I found out that many people didn’t know what to do with fresh vegetables. So the classes have been all free, all the materials in the class have been all free also. It’s been such a huge success. The gardens happen to face a Free Medical Clinic that has over 1500 individuals that have walked through the clinic doors.

Now, with this course, I can’t wait to share what I have learned to help those that want to help themselves and desire to no longer be sick and unhealthy.

You are in my prayers and I wish you success in all your business endeavors. You are a blessing to me and so many others…

Thank you for such an opportunity     :)

    THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED…

Wow, what a great response. Everyone deserves to win. This is going to be hard, picking only two entries from the nearly 200.

I’m hoping you’ll help me with this by voting for your favorites. The ballot is on the right-hand side of all screens on the website. You can vote for up to 5 of the entries, and you can vote once a day.

So tell your friends, give them this link:

    http://rawlife.org/contest/get-the-raw-foods-home-study-course-online-free.htm

and together we’ll choose the two winners of Platinum Memberships to the online Dr. Ann Wigmore Raw Living Foods Home Study Program.

My tip: Leave this page open in your browser, then open another tab or window and go to RawLife.org. Then you can vote in the second window, scrolling through your ballot as needed, and switching back to the entries in the first tab or window without losing your place.

Thank you for your help! If you’re one of the many who sent me birthday wishes today via cards, email, Facebook and all the rest, a double thank you! It’s a wonderful life!

Oh – If you have problems displaying this page when you scroll down, my best suggestion is to try a different browser. Internet Explorer tends to work better than Firefox on many computers, at least for displaying this long page. Until I can split the comments over multiple pages, that’s the best work-around. Hitting “refresh” in your browser also helps sometimes. I’m working with tech support on fixing this glitch.

    THE CONTEST

In the past weeks I’ve been hearing the words “thank you” quite a bit and I wanted to do something very special for you, but first… I personally wanted to thank *YOU*!

Honestly, if it weren’t for great people like you I would not be doing what I am today. I would not be able to share the message of Dr. Ann Wigmore and her teachings about the raw living foods lifestyle, nor would I ever have been able to help people change their lives and get healthy. It truly is a blessing and I owe it all to people like you.

I know you would do the same if you were in my shoes.

So I decided to do something very special as a way of saying “Thank You.” I’ve decided to give away two complete courses of my new Dr. Ann Wigmore Online Raw Living Foods Home Study Program Version 4.3 – with all the bonuses.

The Two Grand Prize Winners Will Get:

    .

    1. A FREE Platinum Subscription to the Dr. Ann Wigmore Online Raw Living Foods Home Study Course Ver. 4.3, with all of the bonus items.
    2. A one hour personal consultation with me, Jim Carey!

    .

Ok… So here are the rules:

    1. You must leave a BLOG COMMENT BELOW to be eligible to win the contest. Please DO NOT send me an email.
    2. Entry deadline is 12 Noon EST on Sunday, November 29th, 2009, my 59th birthday (woo-hoo!).
    3. In your blog comment please tell me:

    .

    1. Why you feel that you should win the course … AND …
    2. Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health

    .

CONTEST TIPS: Feel free to create a video using YouTube.com. Videos are always better! If you use a video, please post a link to your video in your blog comment.

That’s it! I look forward to your comments and responses!

    A very thankful,

    Jim :)

    .

P.S. I have another special announcement coming later this month that I think you’ll enjoy (just another way to give back to you).

P.P.S. You may not know it, but this entire community has grown because of “people telling people.” Again, it would never be where it is today if it wasn’t for people like you. So I encourage you to pass along this email to your friends, family members, and whomever you think can benefit from this message or the messages of Ann Wigmore and chiDiet.com :)

P.P.P.S. “It’s interesting to me that … with the growth of the raw and living food movement over the past decade, and all the gurus and programs out there, that this program contains all that needs to be known, and it really is a case of a wheel not needing to be reinvented.” – Jeff Batter

I think it would be helpful for me to win this course because my son is a childhood cancer survivor. I have a website set up for him and I get emails and phone calls from people wanting to know how to change their diets to help themselves and their kids. This program would help me be able to help more people.
I feel that the raw food diet will help my family and me to stay healthy and make sure my son’s cancer never comes back!
    Thanks!!!!!!

I really wanted to win the course for myself because I’ve just begun the raw food adventure and was hoping to convince my neighbor with diabetes to check it out. But, after reading the blog from Suzi Scott my vote goes to her! Anyone who has battled cancer with a child and is now wanting to help others through this program is certainly deserving of a freebie. I pray she wins!!!
Thank you for all you do.

I am very excited about this opportunity!!! When I saw you preferred videos, my heart sank though. I have no idea how to do that. I am 60 and somewhat technologically retarded. So here goes, without visuals.

I have spent the last ten years of my life looking after a mother with Alzheimer’s disease and a daughter with Polymyocytis which also, means that I have been looking after her daughter (my granddaughter). My mother has passed, my granddaughter is now 10 and my daughter and she are managing a bit better now.

It is time for me!!! I have been exploring the raw food world for about 1 year now and am so excited to be learning what I can. I am very low income (due to my choice to be a family caregiver) and can not afford to purchase any of the courses that could help me learn more.

I would treasure the opportunity to win this course and would (because I can’t help myself) share it with those in my circle who might also choose to learn about a better way of nourishing this marvelous body of ours.

    Thank you,
    Lynda

I would love to win because I have recently become very interested in Raw Food. I have checked out numerous books from the library and searched various websites trying to obtain more information on raw food living. I have transformed my entire backyard into an organic vegetable garden. I would love to teach my husband and 4 kids about eating raw food. As well as inform church members about this new way of eating. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity. It is a Godsend.

I am very interested in becoming a holistic practitioner but unable to afford the costs of any educational program due to financial difficulties. I have a passion to help others understand what a true healthy lifestyle is, and what proper nutrition is all about and how the body can not only heal itself from disease but live disease free. Our world is so unhealthy, full of so many diseases. If I win this free program I will be able to fully bring myself into the Raw Foods lifestyle and bring this to others as a certified practitioner. It would be a dream come true.

Greetings! I would love to win this home course because I have been trying to be raw for a year and a half. Somewhere, somehow, I slip. This process reminds me strongly of the year I spent trying to quit smoking. I fought several mini battles and each time I quit I learned something new. With raw foods, each time I quit I am not necessarily learning something new. So I must parallel my smoking cessation success by educating myself to the point of saturation. I am trying to figure out where in the process I am missing something. I think the home study course is optimal because the raw food people I meet are not providing an example I want to follow. Kind regards, Kelly. Wishing everyone here success on their raw journey.

I am a holistic practitioner who sees on a daily basis how many patients could completely reverse their condition and end ther suffering on all levels by changing what they eat and how they approach their food. I previously trained with a raw foods group in NYC, on a more prcatical level. Scientific study in my grad school was woefully limited to just a few courses over the whole program. This led me to do most of the research and exploration myself, but studying and preparing food and reversing my own unhealthy patterns, to start with. Chinese Medicine (TCM) is by far not raw food based, but I know there is a way to integrate raw foods and food energetics into a TCM practice, and it has been my goal for several years now. I would love to enhance the health of my patients by having the in-depth tools of the Wigmore method of rawfoods – in my experience, there is no better way to change your health for the better than change your ways with food!

I was a 255 lb,27 yr old who came to live with my grandmother to try to lose weight. She eats some raw and loves your daily emails which I read, but I had not eaten this way before and so I am just learning. In 2 months I have lost 24 lbs and it is wonderful but I would like to know more about staying healthy while I am trying to lose the weight so I think I would be a good candidate to win your free course since I have enjoyed eating this way and the results I’ve had.

I was a personal friend of Dr Ann’s for over a decade. At the time I told her noone could adopt the Living Foods Lifestyle, AND lead a normal life in terms of a job, travelling, eating out, etc. She’d often say, “the day will come, John, and I hope I’m around to teach you”. It has, and she is not.

    Hello Jim;
1.Why you feel that you should win the course: I would like to win this course for myself and my family, especially for my 17 yr old son who has “gone raw” all on his own and needs encouragement and my support, not my constant nagging for him to eat more or this or that. Although, I admit I am terribly concerned! He has gone from 118 lbs (@ 5 feet 8 inches tall) down to 93 pounds in 2 months! I need help to help him gain weight in a healthy way PLUS get the rest of our family of 6 eating healthier. Knowledge is power, but Truth and Health have been beyond my budget! So I would appreciate this gift very very much. Also, my daughter who is almost 15 now wants to go into this field of study as a career!

2.Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health: We have been renting “food videos” from Netflix, viewing YouTube and other online resources to see the truth of what is going on in our country. The kids and I have been reading Ann Wigmore’s story (e-book) and know that we have to do something, and have been slowly buying supplements, sprouts, and organic produce. Besides my son’s underweight issue, I have a “Pedunculated Fibroid” (search on YouTube for info) that is around 8+” long that I want to get rid of naturally. Right now my husband feels I am wasting money experimenting with different things on my own. I do need some schooling or classes to get ahold of all the knowledge I need to cure myself. I know one thing, that is fruit sugars I still have to avoid, as the fibroid grows when I have even healthy fruit smoothies or eat certain breads. I also need to purchase a dehydrator and other “tools” to make sprouted breads, fermented veggies, wheatgrass juice, etc.

Thank you for offering this to the public, God bless :-)

    Hi Dr. Jim,

I’m from Belgium and the reason I’d like to win the free course is not only because I want to help my father and a good friend of mine who both have cancer at the moment but I’d also really like to start a sort of restaurant or so to introduce rawfood to many people in Europe. It’s really hard to find raw foods or good information about rawfood because they’re no restaurants or good stores at all over here. I’d like to help the interested people to make rawfood more available for them and therefor I want to learn the good way of eating raw like Dr.Ann Wigmore did so I’ll be able to give the right information to people that like to heal or just want to improve there lifestyle. At the moment I’m busy with my business plan and as I’m still young (22 years old) I can’t afford spending a lot of money if I want to start my project next year.
I really want to learn and teach other people to live healthy!
Thank you for helping so many people and HAPPY BIRTHDAY by the way !! :D

Hi, Dr. Jim, Ever since my husband had a heart transplant I have become passionate about health, learning all I can and promoting what I learn through free classes to anyone I can interes! I believe that with the resources I will have on hand if I win, I will be able to positively impact so many lives, helping them to embrace a Raw Living Lifestyle as we are learnign to do! On a personal level, I know that I am helped to stay strong and excited about this lifestyle when I have videos, etc. to look at or read. I still have some health issues, arthritis is the most aggravating and I know if I am able to stay the path it too will go away, as did my fibromyalgia!

Hello Jim, My husband and I feel we need to win this because
I have been researching for the last few months on the raw food diet. Can’t remember how this all came about. But I was looking something up on line and somehow came acrossed raw foods. When I did look up the raw food diet the one thing that grabbed my attention was the wheatgrass kit site. When I went into the site Dr. Ann Wigmores site was there and that is how I began our (husband included) journey into raw food. We became very interested and like I said I have been researching and still am because there is soooo much information out there. We started purchasing books, like The Live Food Factor, which I love, and Rawsome and still have some arriving next week. We have bought most of our appliances but we still need our dehydrator.
We have started the morning smoothies and had our first raw dinner tonight made of zucchini spaghetti and tomato marinera sauce It was AWESOME we loved it.
We can’t wait to really get into making more raw food.
We are actually doing this for health reasons, not that we are suffering from any illness, but we want to be healthier as we get older and don’t want to incur what the world is suffering from. From all the testomonies we have seen and read really made us make a decision fast. There was really no thinking about it, we did it for the Health of it. Knowing that this will be very benefical in the long run.

    Thank You,
    Nancy and Phil Lanz

Wow! This could be the 1 thing which really gives me the knowledge and encouragenent to go for it. Like so many, I & my extended family have been “dabbling” in raw food for a few years. (My brother started sending mw th eoriginal news letter in about 2006.)I feel a bit overwhelmed and lost and really don’t know how to put it all together. In my heart of hearts I know that raw food is the way to optimum health, mental vigor and increased spirituality. I just feel good when I eat the right things! I want it all and I want it for my family!

I would like to win this contest for my husband (and me ;-) ). He suffers from MS and he reacts on food very rapidly. After he has eaten something ‘bad’ he cannot walk right for hours or days. Since I believe raw food could be the answer, I could really need some help with the transformation, because we find it very difficult to transfer to the raw food.

I can’t say I feel I should win the contest instead of someone else, but I can tell you why I feel my family would achieve greater health. The past decade my husband’s diet and stress has taken it’s toll. Left to the medical community, I shudder to think of the pharmaceuticals he would be on today! He is over 300 lbs, exercises at the gym every day, tries to watch his diet, but fails. He loses very little on any diet. About 5 years ago when we found his iron is dangerously high, I began to research for better answers. Dr. Mercola’s website and book were the first sign of hope we found. He has learned to control his sugar by diet. He is now off of all medication. Unfortunately, this has led to him being a big meat eater. He consumes way too much meat. He developed a staph infection in his leg about 2 years ago which keeps coming back. We found a clinic where lymphatic treatments, colonics, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and peroxide ivs help. We have been to a naturopathic doctor who has helped. My husband never sleeps much, he is miserable and only 44. I have been researching raw living foods for the past few weeks, and he is ready to get on board. Although his story is the longest, I have two children 10 and 13 who follow his diet a lot. There are very few vegetables they eat. I’m concerned for their future health. I also have a 19 year old who is convinced that we’re on the right track, but I know he is not doing it right. I concerned he is not getting balanced nutrition. I know it has to be a balanced, well planned process or I can make the entire family sick. I am also taking care of my mother who is battling beginning stages of Alheizmers. We are working with natural herbs for her too instead of pharmaceutical. I’m convinced from the testimonies that Ann Wigmore’s teaching is the ANSWER. All of my husbands treatments have set us back financially. As you know, insurance wouldn’t cover any of this. We’re trying to save to go the clinic in Atlanta, GA, but that isn’t going to happen soon with some of the hits we’ve taken lately with the economy. We’re eager to learn all we need to, and he is ready. As he said, start taking pictures. I’m a poster child of what this diet can do.

    Hi Jim,
I think I should win because I am caring for a housefull of children (8), and 5 of them have special needs that may be helped with a change of diet. Three of my boys have autism, one is non-verbal, and one also has Tourettes. My older two girls are living with ADHD, OCD and anxiety disorders. ALL of the children also have poor immune systems and frequently get sick. As for me, I have had fibromyalgia for many years now, as well as asthma, allergies, and multiple chemical sensitivities. My husband has hypoglycemia, and we are both overweight. I have studied different diets for many years now, including some experimentation with raw foods for myself…but I must be doing something wrong, because nothing has really worked so far. Anyway, with all of our therapy expenses, winning this is the only way I will ever get the chance to learn this valuable information. Thank you for your considering me!

Since I am experimenting this food the health of my being as a whole has greatly improved. And by health I mean not only physycal, but also emotional, mental and spiritual health.

For the last ten years I have been researching and teaching human self development tecnhiques and I truly believe that this information you are offering will be very useful to all those people I could reach here around Europe.

I eased into the raw foods life just over a year ago and do things quite simply. It has made a world of difference in my weight, health, outlook, etc. Now, I’d like to take this new lifestyle to the next level and I don’t know how.

I’d like to learn how to make more complex dishes, not just juice and eat fruit, salads, or mono eat I guess it is called. I want to make sure I am getting all the nutrients I need, not short-changing myself for the long run. I’d also like to bring my family along with me and the way I eat is not going to do that, it is far too simply and unappealing for them (I have a teenage boy in the house). If I could make raw pizza, for instance, and raw “bread” then maybe. I need foods that can fill up this insatiable appetite. He has such acne trouble and I know raw food could help him but I can’t get him interested.

Then, if I could convert my family, maybe my friends with frightening health conditions could follow. I just need a proven plan!

    Many thanks for doing this.

Why I feel that I should win the course:
I am a twenty year old girl from Iceland and i have been into the raw food lifestyle for almost a year now. I feel that i should win the course because i have a burning desire for everything regarding raw food and living nutrition. I have read dr Anns books and many others regarding raw living. Here in Iceland you cant buy many raw food books or programs and i would greatly benifit from the support and teachings of the home study program. Our currency is so weak since the financial crisis that i cant afford to purchase anymore books or support online.

Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health:
I have battled with drug addiction from an early age but i have been clean now for almost a year and i strongly believe that my succes is closely related to my change to a raw based diet. I think i would achieve greater health because i really do need to cleanse my body inside and out and i know that raw food can do that but i need a proper guide. There you come in to the picture:)

In the future i am planning to work in the field of living nutrition and i want to learn as much as i possibly can

I can’t think of any reason why I should win because I have no tragedy to share, no touching story. If I did win I would show my appreciation by sharing information of this work with 100 people wh show a interest in this lifestyle. Those who took advantage along with my self would then generate a verty sucessful story

    Hi Jim,
I would really like to be the winner of Dr. Wigmore’s Home Study Course. I have been reading a lot of books on living foods and I just bought Susan Schenck’s book the “The Live Food Factor and wow, it is such a detailed book. I am learning a lot about living food and the execellent effects it has on the body. And I think that winning Dr Wigmore’s Home Study Course would just seal the deal in my learning and applying the raw living food diet to my life. Please consider me for the winner of the home study course.
    Thanks.

I would LOVE to win as this would definitely be a new adventure for our family of 5. We are adopting 3 children and they were impoverished and they are SO new to fresh fruits and veggies! We are slowly modifying their diet and would LOVE to have this information! I am also a Physician Assistant working in Pediatrics! I would LOVE to be able to have more knowledge to share with my little patients and their parents!

Thanks for the opportunity! God Bless! Melody

    Wow! What a generous gift!
I am the wife of a retired Methodist minister. We are spending our life in service. In 1982 my body had thyroid cancer, part of it was removed. Having a resent colonoscopy, cancer cells were found in my colon. I have been eating more raw foods, rejuvelac, and essiac tea. This study course is an answer to prayer. It will certainly be a tremenous support as I work to provide my body what it needs to heal and share with others who want to live a healthy life style. Thank you for all that you are doing for us.

At first I was REALLY excited to tell you all about why I wanted to win it, and then I read all of these entries from people who are experiencing cancers and I thought that it is more important that one of them gets it then I. But then, I thought, well, wait a minute, what makes my issues less diserving then theirs? That theirs is a killer? So is mine. I suffer from depression. My Father and three of his four siblings commited suicide. My mother died of lung cancer at 57 after a lifetime of mental illness and depression. I have been approximately 85% raw for 4 years. I have lost 94 pounds. The first three months were 98% raw and I was estatic, I was flying, nothing could touch me, and then, I crashed. All the emotions that I had buried in food since I was 7 came to the surface and I have been struggling with them since. I have met a great many people who have been healed of their physical disease via a raw diet, but no one who has had the emotional struggle that I have had with the depression. I want to win because I think it will motivate me to go back to being estatic and to move through these emotions so I do not have to depress them. Thank you.

Hi there! I am a single mom and grandma with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and Depression, among quite a few other little things wrong, but these are the biggies!!! I have looked at this home course soooo many x’s, wanting to buy it, but I just cannot afford to spend so much. My Fibromyalgia is pretty much on the SEVERE end of the continuum, which means I take 8-10 pain pills per day just to be able to get out of bed and work a full time job. Without the meds, I wld be on bedrest & disability for sure. I take several other medications too, thank God I do have health insurance. But I have been determined that only FOOD and HEALTHY EATING can bring me to real health. I’ve tried just about all diets b4 FINALLY coming to a raw almost-vegan diet and I’ve seen some great progress w/ it! Where b4 I was always hurting b4 I got to 4 hrs after meds b4 taking others, now I’ve had TIMES where I make it 5-6 hrs in between!!! That has been amazing to me! And I’ve been walking and fitting in some light exercise! I’m still determined that I can find a cure thru THIS diet!!!! I’m sure it will just take awhile. I’ve been trying to soak up all the info I can get and from ur posts, it sounds like Ann Wigmore was the ULTIMATE GURU in this way of life!!! It wld mean SOOOOO much to me to get this. As I’m sure we all know, it’s so hard b/c 99% of the ppl around u in life are NOT “believers”, they’re overweight (by a little or a LOT) and eating junk!!! It really truly drives me NUTS. If we didn’t have a group that meets locally on this way of eating, I realy don’t know what I wld do! Hell, family doesn’t even acknowledge Fibromyalgia or Depression. Talk about hard!!!! Thank God my friends at work understand. Anyway, ppl’s other posts haven’t been BOOKS, so I guess I better close this! I am so excited at the prospect of winning this though! And I’m so not above begging!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL Thanks! Kris

    1. I should win the Course simply because I cannot afford to
    pay for it right now.

    2. Why you feel that the raw food diet will achieve greater
    health?
Well, the raw food is not just about having great health.
It’s the food of the God. It raises our consciousness
to connect with the Spirit. I have begun my Spiritual
Sadhana by first shifting to Raw Food.

Happy Birthday! And wish you all the best.

I would like to win this course as I think I can make a difference (just as you have). Many people have not led a healthy lifestyle simply because they have no information – they grow up thinking that their habits are right, and they will not explore different avenues.
Changing to a raw living foods lifestyle does not have to be a grueling sacrifice, as many believe. I would like to learn more about that to spread its wonderful benefits.
I guess humanity has realized that getting back to simpler is the way to go. Raw foods are foods made ready by Nature. It’s healthy, functional, a natural disease fighter and, above all, not cruel.

I believe that we all deserve to win this course, I love my body and health as it is. I have recently tried to switch to a raw food diet, like a yo yo.

winning this courses will better my health and weight loss and give me lots of inspiration to make it a success.

it boost my confidence too, and what better way to share with others, and loved ones.

I acknowledge myself as a spiritual light and love being like my brothers and sisters in this world. the reason i feel that the raw food diet will help me achieve greater health because, raw food is live energy the same as yourself and myself but in a different form, and this is a spiritual truth and scientifically proven, and thats why it works too, everyone can benefit.

    love & Light to all

I would love to win this course!! I am a two time breast cancer survivor, having beat a stage 3 diagnosis the first time with natural methods (1998). The second time (2008) I was pressured into surgery, chemo and radiation. (I also got an intuitive hit that this was the way I needed to treat it that time.) I have always felt that this came into my life because I need to teach others not to give away their power and that those facing this challenge need to look at the entire picture of how to deal with cancer both physically and emotionally. If cancer returns again, I can say that I have done both treatments and that I would never do the standard treatment of surgery, radiation, and chemo again. I believe that natural methods are best! My diet has always been low in sugar and heavy in mostly organic fruits and veggies, but it has never been completely raw. I am working now to do that and hope to show others that this is an important tool to keeping the body healthy, as well as living responsibily in this world of ours.

    Hello Jim,

I feel like I should win the course because I need to get better. I cannot afford to spend any money right now, we almost got evicted this year because we could not pay rent.

The raw food diet could help be acheive greater health because I am 40, fat (300+) and struggling with food addiction. I have seen raw food make a difference in the lives of others, and I know that I could benefit from it. We are trying to start a family, and I want to pass on good health to my children!

But I won’t say that I deserve it more than someone else. I’m sure there are lots of us that need this badly. You are generous for helping some of us.

I have made comment No.37 above.

I am a pensioner living in India on a monthly pension of $250 per month which is sufficient for me to take care of myself here with no rent to pay as I have my own house. I have absolutely no health problems except a bit obese looking like Dr.Carey BEFORE.
I have begun my Spiritual Sadhana with the raw-food diet.
Now, when I look at all the comments of others I see so many needy people with chronic health issues and their inability to buy your course but so passionate about raw food diet as a means of overcoming their ailments. I think one of these people deserve your generous prize offer. So, I wish to withdraw from the contest. Thank you Dr. Carey for all the good work you are doing. I have taken a vow to become like you AFTER within a year!

    Hello Jim,
I read your email about the contest and I just couldn’t believe it.
I would like to try to win this contest for my amazing wife who has endured years of heartache and frustration while fighting stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma.
After 3 years, 7 doctors and countless tests, one doctor was finally able to diagnose her chronic fatigue as Lymphoma, however, by that time we were at stage 4 with metastasis to her bone.
After several rounds of chemo, she was told her cancer is chemo resistant, my heart sank…but not hers, she has worked so hard and for hundreds of hours trying to educate herself about holistic approaches to treatment and has been juicing and eating raw organic as well as many other modalities. She is a fighter.
Between the times of fighting this she lost her father to COPD, her best friend to Amaloydoisis (sp?) I was laid off from my job, we lost our home and we had to claim bankruptcy and through it all, she has held her head up and continues to fight to get healthy.
She is my best friend and companion and all I want is to see her get better and grow old with me.
She would never enter this contest herself because she would think there were people more deserving than her, but to me, I think after everything this beautiful women has been through, I can’t imagine someone who could use it more.
    Thank you for listening.

As a Native American Elder I have been working within the Grass root of this Country for more than twenty years. Spreading the Words of Growth,Change,Spiritual uplifting, and General Health fullness….For the most part denying my own Health and Wellbeing…Due to being Emotionally ill, addicted and houseless!!!!I watched this movement grow for a very long time but was not able to take part due to finantial/emotional reasons. Now, sense being given a Week Free at the Tree of Life I have been reborn with the movement..The respect I recieved being called “Grandfather” by the likes of the “Tree Community” changed the un’healthy path of my life.
Now it is an uphill battle sometimes to keep on the Raw path but I have made many inroads…First it was more what I had to give up; mainly Corporate abused meat and dairy..Sugar was also a struggle to leave behind…Genetically Engineered products as well. Besides my primary addiction Corporate alcohol…
I have been Gleening bits and pieces from the internet and growing Rawfoodwise….But I still don’t own a raw cook book. This would provide this Elder with a Stronger Guide to a more comprehensive raw Diet…

    1. Why you feel that you should win the course … AND …
    2. Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health

I feel that I should win the course, because I think that it would greatly benefit my life as a vegan athlete. I play with a nationally ranked WFTDA roller derby team, and recently went raw to explore how the diet could affect my level of energy and ability to play. I was very satisfied with the results, after being raw for only 30 days! However, even after much research, I still feel like I’m missing a lot of useful information about how a raw lifestyle could improve myself as an athlete even further. I think it’s really important for athletes to seriously consider the foods they consume, and it’s such a satisfying feeling actively smashing stereotypes portraying vegan/raw foodist as “weak”. I know a raw food diet will help me achieve greater health, because it has already created such a different in how I think, feel, and perform in my sport.

I would be absolutely thrilled out of my mind to win this. Ann Wigmore was an early influence on me and I have read all her books. I briefly met her in LA at a health expo with her wheatgrass trays ;)

Unfortunately as a teen when I was doing raw foods I had such emotional issues that I overate and was bulimic. I managed to get help with addictions to a great extent through communities such as 12-step and yet with so much S.A.D. influence around me drifted away from raw and got into cooked gourmet vegetarian for years.

Nevertheless, fortunately I’ve done periodic fasting and liver flushes over the years. And now I’ve been back to almost 100% raw for the past year.

Long story short, I’m a holistic practitioner offering mainly body work and craniosacral therapies. BUT! I’m launching myself as a raw foods lifestyle coach right NOW and would absolutely be thrilled to have your training Jim! This would be such a blessing. I am operating on NO budget and can barely pay bills and eat right now. If I had this to offer I would offer it directly to my clients and community as a class and as a way to launch myself in this area. If I win this for free to myself I would educate myself further (and help my own aging symptoms he he ;) I’m 49 and believe me it takes discipline to reverse some of the damage I’ve inadvertently created.) I’d share these with my children. My daughter is in the obesity range.

I would use the series as an opportunity to create community classes for free or sliding scale fees (absolutely) and it could really help me meet new clients and help people get healthy which is my total heart’s passion.

Thank you in advance for considering me as recipient of this generous prize. love and blessings, cindy

Like you we are very blessed to assist others with their health issues. In our restaurant we conduct food prep classes, detox programs and invite guests who can offer vital informtion for others to learn from.
It would be wonderful to have another set of the Dr Anne Wigmore’s material to loan out to people whom can have the material for a week to view in their own home.

My husband’s birthday is November 29 and he will be 59. What a great gift for him. I have been learning about the raw movement for the past couple years, but it is not easy. Our family comes from good country stock and we have always had meat as the foundation of all meals, so it is a challenge. My husband and I both have been trying to loose weight and I do believe that this is the way to go. As we age there are those little health issues that pop up so it is time to become more conscious…I do believe that we should be living more than three score and ten.

I think it’s time for me to get on the path to Raw. I’ve been playing around with it for some time but haven’t quite been able to make the full commitment. I’ve just about eliminated my gouty foot entirely by stopping alcohol. I was not happy to find out that herring and lots of other fish are high in purine as well. Everything is pointing to Raw for my partner(who has celiac) and I. We are battling getting our kids to a vegetarian diet. Don’t know how we will get them to Raw.
I am starting an intensive gardening project in my backyard to grow as many of my own veggies as I possibly can. The plan is to sell our overabundance from our driveway and possibly to the local health food store for their juice bar.
The other part of my project would involve taking this to the next level. After transforming my family’s life and my own, I want to start a growing operation in waukegan, IL. This is more of an impoverished area where I believe this diet would make a great impact.
If I win, I promise to share this knowledge with the masses. If I don’t I vote for Jayanth, BV even though he withdrew from the contest and you did not ask for my vote.
Thanks for reading and have a great birthday.

Hahahahha! 29 November 1950 was a great day!

In the Bible, after the flood, the Lord told Noah that men would have six score (120) years, thereafter. Thus, it’s up to us to take care of the body/temple to make it last that long.

I just got a sprouting jar and off today to get sprouting seeds so it is a desire of my heart to go raw and right now this is a start. My desire also included learning this information and starting a community locally of raw fooders. Our food is dead and people need to be educated to this fact and what they can do about it!

I loved Ann very much!!!! She, personally, introduced me to wheatgrass & sprouts & Raw Foods in 1981(I was already a VEGAN at the time).
I & my family loved to visit her original Hippocrates Institute in Boston —-and we remember being very upset when it was taken from her by unscrupulous people.
Her premature death in the (suspicious)fire was a tragedy for us all.
We (I, my husband & child) lived for 2 years (1995-96)in Puerto Rico, near Aguada, and the staff & members of the Ann Wigmore Institute (along with our COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE group) were our local Spiritual Community.

I feel that I need to win this course because my greatest passion in life is to be used as God’s instrument to help alleviate suffering. So many people suffer from the ill effects of an unhealthy lifestyle. The more I learn, the more I can share with people who are not knowledgeable about becoming healthy with raw foods. A raw food diet can help us tremendously due to the enzymes, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, etc. that are available to be utilized by the body at the cellular level, to heal itself. They are not destroyed by cooking. We are closer to Source.

Although I am not high-tech enough to offer a video, I would still be very happy to receive your program offer.
Several years ago, my home was devastated by the flooding following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. While I was evacuated, I updated my mammogram – which led to an immediate ultrasound, then a biopsy and cancer diagnosis. My mother was lost to this disease just a few years ago. I refused surgery and have worked with a naturopath and raw foods since that time. When I am practicing that lifestyle, my blood tests are Normal, otherwise my condition regresses. I do not wish to follow the medical model – as my mother did – because she only lasted 2 years in the hands of doctors. I would like to be compelled to remain on a raw food program and be in permanent remission. It is important for me to live a life committed to all that I put into my mouth and my mind. At this time, I am nearing completion of my home repairs. I would like to be cancer-free and feel that I will be used to spread the message of my own survival – and thriving life – once I am able to make it to that place and remain there. You may be part of my process and I am grateful for the opportunity to be included in your birthday present.

I bought the original Ann Wigmore course before you developed your own. I signed up as an affiliate for the new course but have been hesitant to get involved because I realize that I don’t really know what the new course is like. Since I already bought one course and it wasn’t cheap (but for those who may read this, it was more than worth it–it is THE road to genuine health and I can say it from experience, having recovered from a tumor and skin cancer on the Wigmore program) I really don’t want to buy another one. I would really like to see the new course. So I decided to throw my hat into the ring. :)

In January of 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Even the “natural” doctor recommended I do the most aggressive treatment the oncologist would recommend. I did 6 months of chemo – went on the raw diet immediately -boring – plain vegetables and salads. Husband was unemployed for 8 months and can’t afford to spend extra money. Would love to win the course so I could learn more about eating raw and get some variety so I will be motivated to stay on this way of eating. By the way, my scans are coming back with no new activity and almost all the lessions on the spine are gone. Know if I want to be alive years from now, I must stay eating raw. Thank you for your informative emails.

I have been trying for 2 years to get my wife to eat raw. and she finally started on October 1st. since she started she has lost 30 pounds and is very excited her diabetes was 250-300 without medication.(she refused to take any meds because they made her feel so bad). Her blood pressure is normal and her sugar went to 100 in 4 days. she is thrilled as i am. i have been raw for 2 years and we are absorbing as much as we possibly can. to learn how to stay this way for the rest of our lives. we are trying to help others learn the same.
My wife has been ill ever since she had mumps for 5 months when she was 10 and went from 67 pounds and normal 10 year old size to over 200 pounds and to 5′10″ in 6 months. the specialists could not find the problem. it was her adrenals. we need to learn all we can to gain our health that we have never had. thank you Jim for this offer.
we have joined a local meet up that is headed by raw chef olive. and are meeting many others that are raw too.

Although I have not gone 100% raw personally, I have embraced the Raw Food Diet with many patients in my practice. I recommend it for anyone with a digestive disease, from Crohn’s Disease to Hemorrhoids. Multiple patients sent to me for surgical resection of recurrent diverticulitis have been cured and no longer face repeated attacks. It has worked miracles in patients with autoimmune disorders such as vasculitis, thyroiditis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Perhaps I will be 100% raw by Jan.2010, and whether or not I win the free course, I will continue to use this in my practice. I am a 69 year old physician, working full time, and in better health now than 10 years ago by going raw.

    1. Why you feel that you should win the course …
Because as hard as I’ve tried I haven’t been able to
save up the money to purchase the course.
2.Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health
Over the last two\three years the raw food I’ve been
adding to my meal plan has made a big difference to my
health already. I’m sure the more knowledgeable I
become of what raw living is really about, the better
off my diabetes control will be.
Thank you very much for considering my submission…

Hi Jim! I would LOVE to win the latest version of your home study course. I have been studying and experimenting with a raw and living foods diet for the last couple of years and am happy that I finally found a way to overcome fatigue and improve my health in other ways. This is a lifestyle change for me that eventually I want to share with others by educating and being of service in some way. Ann Wigmore’s teachings are the foundation. I have an older version of the home study course that I bought within the last year. I want to donate that course to a friend or relative. One (in her 30s) who has debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis and the other (in her early 50s) who has breast cancer. Both are dynamic young woman who are staying positive despite their circumstances. The newer version I would like to use and to master the techniques to improve my health (I’m having some issues and am in my mid-40s) and help others. THANKS so much for this opportunity and God Bless the work you do!

    Hi Jim,
Thank you for the opportunity to win this wonderful program which has helped countless people already.
My health is not the best right now, and my whole family has health related problems. From anxiety to irritable bowel, burning stomach and my husband suffers from allergies and hasn’t slept good his whole life. My issues are the same as so many other Americans. High blood pressure which progressed to heart disease and of course Diabetes 2.. Had 2 stents in the same artery and now most recently double bypass. I got staph areus from surgery and still have it 4 months later.
The past 18 months I have studied the raw food lifestyle and do not know how to start and how to sustain this lifestyle. Many people who have done well according to my research, did well because they followed a program, such as Ann Wigmore. They had ongoing support either online or got with a group that had potlucks or formed a group. I know I cannot do this alone I need training and support.
To win this program would be a dream come true. My family and those around me would benefit from it as well.
    Thanks for this opportunity.
I’m so excited that someone or maybe 2 people will win the program and that makes me happy.
    Thanks for giving!
    Hugs,
    Linda W.

Wow, so many people…. and everyone’s response is so wonderful….

I am no exception either, I would really like to win too.

I soooo love Anne Wigmore’s work. Previously, way back in the late 1980’s after being involved in a serious accident, almost losing my leg, and numbers of operations and ingesting countless drugs into my body, I stumbled upon Dr. Anne Wigmore’s work. I had tried the sprouting and wheatgrass and got wonderful results from it. Eventually life got busier with kids, divorce, working too much, giving away my Anne Wigmore books in that whole shuffle, and began to take the easy way out and started eating the Standard American Diet. Ughhh. Now I am more than I have weighed since I was pregnant, and I really need to change. I love the transformation you have made Jim and would love that for myself.

I have been vegetarian (no meat, eggs or dairy products) since 2005 because of the cost of meat and for spiritual reasons. Thankfully I no longer crave meat or eggs, but still use cheese and dairy from time to time with my body not tolerating them that well.

Presently, I am in a real need of having to improve my health – my anemia was so bad I needed a blood transfusion in March of this year, I had a fall down some stairs a couple of weeks ago injuring my previously injured knee, and in the x-ray findings there were signs of osteopenia, and of course my ongoing problems with my digestive system, so I know there is something going in my body that I am not completely understanding.

In my search for improving my health, I am findings so many diets that promote meat eating, and not so many taking the vegetarian approach which leave me somewhat lost and confused. I had stumbled upon your websites a number of times and so much wanted to purchase the Raw Food Home Study Course as it made a lot of sense to me and it had the teaching of Anne Wigmore in it that I so much loved previously, but the money part is what is holding me back from buying it.

So much I have been looking around for something like this…and as the old saying goes, when the student is ready the teacher appears….??? Sooooo…pleeeeasssse…..

PS – My kudos go out to you Jim for the wonderful work you have done and continue to do in keeping the work of Dr. Anne Wigmore alive…and have a wonderful 59th birthday!

I didn’t answer you second question in my first reply, so here goes. I feel that the raw lifestyle will result in a healthier me, because I believe that everything my body needs to keep it functioning at optimal health is provided by mother nature. If I eat what she offers in its natural state, my body will have all the ingredients it needs to heal itself. I have always believed that whole foods are necessary for good health, it is only in the last year that I came to understand that the whole foods need to be in their natural state ie: raw. I need some help with the details of how to live a 100% raw lifestyle. It seems that something that is so natural should be easy and yet, years of indoctrination into the SAD diet, make the transition a little rougher than I thought it would be. I need the course to help me with the finer points of understanding. Thank you again for the opportunity and for the information I have already garnered from your website. Regards Lynda

    Hello Jim
I would like to win a study course to help me recover from rheumatoid arthritis completely. For 6 months I was unable to stand my knees were bent. They were 70degrees. Now they are at 30 degrees and I am able to walk again. Praise God. The course would help me to understand how to help my body recover and to help others also.
The raw food diet is exciting because it can provide your body with the enzymes and nutrients it needs so it can heal itself. It is the best thing I can do for myself, that is safe and has no side effects like the drugs do. I need to know as much as I can and I believe that going through this will enable me to help others also. Thank you for your website, the information gleaned and encouragement is very much appreciated.

God Bless You and many happy returns for 30th Nov.
    Kind Regards Meralyn

    Good Morning Jim,
I am blessed to be a very healthy 56yr old woman with a job I love and ample income. Honestly, I would LOVE to win this just because I LOVE to win things! Gifts bring joy into everyone’s lives, who dosen’t love a gift??? Especially one as wonderfull as THIS!!! I do work in the health care field, and have struggled with adapting to the raw food lifestyle as completely as I would like. I would love nothing more than to embrace a new and complete raw healthy eating program into my life as we approach a new year. Through my life change I can share and help many with lack of hope and direction who are being failed with Western Medicine alone! I applaud you Jim for the work you do and your passion for life and enabling others to live and feel life as never before! I hope our paths cross one day soon!
    Blessings,

I would like to have the study course because eating raw has already helped my health, but I am still dealing with some intestinal issues that I feel is just setting there right now. I am alone in my eating habits but more and more people around me are asking my help or opinion on thier health issues. I really don’t say too much except how I feel. I would like to be able to really give them some good encouraging answers. So not only would I like to improve my own view and direction, I would like to help others around me.
For my health, I have already gotten my Thyroid under control, my kidneys are better and don’t hurt so much and the fibromyalgia is almost gone, all on the raw food diet, about 95% raw since Sept 2008. My main issue now that I am dealing with is that growing up on anti-biotics ruined my colon/intestines. This is taking a lot of time and work. I recently discovered that what is going on in there is also behind my constant bladder infections and urgency to go go when it hits me. I know I really need to get that under control and I think the program would lead me in the right direction.

You have so many responses, I feel you decision will be a difficult one!
Raw foods have changed my life, starting to. I am a stay at home Mom, My entire family is overweight, and I was on a lot of medication last year for HTN< and Diabetes and Chronic leg pain, and I decided that I wanted to get off medication, and give all this a try. I am like a sponge right now, absorbing and reading everything I can to learn how to heal myself and help my family and others. I have gotten books from the library, and started making recipes. I have checked out every book they have on this subject. I am desiring very much to go farther, and learn much more. I would be honored if you allowed me this great opportunity, and I would promise to use what i was given to help myself and my community to learn also what has helped me.
PS_ Since starting raw foods, I have reduced my insulin already, I want to keep going. God bless, and thank you for offering this to us.

First of all … Happy early Birthday wishes! :) For a little over a year I have been struggling with trying to be raw. I live in an area where we don’t have access to much support locally, so gaining information is quite time consuming. Also, not knowing if you’ve found the right information can be daunting. To have a program to follow would be a God-send. The times I have been successful maintaining a mostly raw lifestyle is when I feel my best. I know this is where I want to be in my life. I am also getting to an age where I want to prevent “aging diseases” from manifesting in my body. I want to live well and productively and I know a raw food diet is the ticket. Thank you for giving this opportunity! :) Good luck to everyone who enters!

    Hi Jim,

    1. I want to win because I long for this course so long already but cant afford it. Im a Wellness-Trainer (exams soon) and Ill do my lab in a fasting-clinic and a raw restaurant soon. I want to create, I want to help people become the healthiest one of themselves theyve ever been. And finally, I need some experience for getting this job as a Vitality-Trainer. Therefore I have to prove my knowledge with clients (who pay a lot of money for their raw vitality holidays).

    2. The raw food diet has improved my health already. But theres one thing missing. Which I took for granted and thought not being able to change anyway. And its my pacemaker. Im 29 years old and maybe you remember me, because you brought my to the idea that raw food can even take this thing off (you gave me that great book advice) and finally out of my body so that Im not getting more scarfs through the years, looking like a grilled chicken on my breast. I have researched this and Im preparing and I will do it. Being independant from the pacemaker is my dream!
And being an example for sick people. Esp. my closest ones. Food is my medicine and my medicine is food! It is really that simple! :)

Warm greetings from the cold North of Germany from
    Judith

    Dear Jim,

I actually find it difficult to enter after reading all the stories, really everyone deserves to win!

I live in Suriname (South America) and in my live I hope to help a lot of people suffering from illnesses and other things just with the basic things that live offers us, healthy food. I have always been interested in THE right way to eat/live and recently came accross Ann’s book and I just knew that this was it.
Even though I have not yet tried this lifestyle yet I feel that it is the solution to a lot of problems in the world today. But I also believe that before I recommend it to anyone I should have done it myself.

My idea is trying it out by doing the program and then I would like to incorporate it in my country with all the greens and veggie’s we have here. People here are more and more copying the standard American lifestyle while we live in this beautiful country with lots of healthy food. That will be the challenge.
The work you are doing is great and I hope to do in my country too some day.

    A great gift.
I wish you a wonderful birthday and..
    God bless,
    Tamara

So much HUNGER, and so much THIRST…
Drinking and eating makes the human family inextricalby bound. We all have our story that rings out true, resonating at one high pitch…it’s a cry out for restoring LIFE, for living… for love. With all these fragile and precious stories, I humbly add mine to the bunch by sharing with you who I am.

At 8 years old a lady asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I said, “A DOCTOR”. Five years later I met Anne Wigmore and Eddy May at her Institute in Lemon Grove. That was 32 years ago. I was 15 and from their lecture I was forever changed. After a 24hr water faster I never touched meat again. By 16, “Be Your Own Doctor” & “Survival of the 21st Century” became my food bibles. At 18 in college when my peers were doing shots… I was too, but with Wheatgrass. I knew if I was ever going to help anyone, I had to live it myself first. My early 20’s, were spent on the island of Kauai, daily kissed by the ocean air, tropical climate and aloha spirit I lived practically as a fruitarian. After 5 years, upon my return to the Mainland- I moved to LA and decided to go through Anne Wigmore’s program myself and learn at the Optimum health institute in San Diego. I was 27. I was given what I call, my first real assignment. He was a 39 year old man who had just suffered a heartattack and had triple bypass surgery, whose Doctors told him he wouldn’t live if he didn’t change his diet. I immediatley put him on all RAW diet, including wheatgrass and watermelon fasts. Within one month he lost all the weight, his cholesterol, blood pressure was normal. He transformed right before his doctors eyes who were adamant about meeting me. When he brought me to UCLA- his doctors asked what did I do to miraculously change him. I said, “Wheatgrass and Watermelon”! That man became my husband and for 7 years he remained vital and healthy. We even began a Private Conditioning Business together called, “Gravity Training” which holistically worked to transform the lives of people through what we call, “the indigenous Art of hill running”. Our Program was recognized in US News and World Report as one of the top 3 ways to train in ‘94. Then the stress came and he quietly returned to some bad habits. I caught him with Haagen Daas & fried Catfish. This became a high point tension in our marriage. “You can’t eat like that anymore, YOU’LL DIE!”, I said. Within 3 months I became a young widow with a newborn and 6 year old son to raise on my own. Nevertheless, my commitment to my “Training” business and healthy lifestyle kept me going. While raising the boys, I went on to get my Master’s of Divinity from Fuller Seminary, with a vision towards developing spiritual maturity through physical and nutritional training for transformational lifestyles (especially for at risk youth).

I am completely wholistic in my philosphy and confident in my spiritual training as a Hospital Chaplin, and physical and emotional training as both athletic and private Coach, however….a new movement has arisen since my evolution as a nutritional guide and I know it’s time to advance my knowledge and credentials in order to take my place as a leader and team player amongst those working feverishly to help heal people and the planet. This is my CALLING.
I appreciate the distinguishing argument you uphold, and want to maintain this truth for my own practice: LIVING FOOD, LIVING WORK, LIVING WORD, LIVING WATER…LIVING LOVE GIVES LIFE! It’s more than just a trendy raw diet. (Although, I do love raw gourmet!)I would be honored to be trained by you. Your program will certainly prepare me for what is yet to come.

So many worthy contestants! I have several reasons for wanting to win this valuable prize. First, I began following the raw-foods diet a couple of months ago, but no one else I know eats this way and I would like more support/guidance. Second, I am a licensed foster mom and my husband and I have recently adopted adorable twin boys; since we are both well over 50, we want to make a commitment to this healthy way of eating so that we can be active, vital and disease-free for many more years…and we also want to provide our children with the means to do so as well. (We plan to adopt again in a few months!). Third, I have many friends/acquaintances who are recovering from addictions of various kinds and I think it would be incredible if I could share info on the raw-foods way of life with them, to help them achieve true healing.
    Thank you for this opportunity.

Jim I have just bought Dr. Ann’s home study a few months ago. Is there more to it than what I have? I am a diabetic, I take 4 to 5 shots a day. I have tried many things to change this, but nothing worked. So am trying Dr. Ann’s now. It is going to take me a while to change my eating. But I feel that I can do it. If this program that you are giving away has more to offer than the one I got; then keep me in mind.

Why should I win? It’s a tough one given all the great responses above so I’ll keep it simple. If I win I will commit myself to the course so I can ensure my own family lives a healthy, balanced, happy life – which is one of my most important jobs. I’ll also ensure I share my new found knowledge with friends and family and anyone else willing to listen.

I am a person who has been fighting for my health (and my families) for years. I have been struggling with an autoimmune disease that I have been able to keep at bay for the last five years. Within the last year I can tell that my body is in attack mode again and I am having a hard time getting it to stop. I have juiced, exercise, I eat raw (not always 100%)etc…It seems to me that it got worse when I started drinking wheatgrass juice daily. I have constant headaches (especially if I skip the wheatgrass), my chest grows in size and gets tight, my hands and arms get numb at night, my hair starts to grey, and if I exercise I feel like I’m having an asthma attack (which I’ve never had before), I gain weight but yet I will feel a bit better emotionally. This is what happens while I’m on wheatgrass and/or kombucha, the opposite of what should happen. Obviously I’m doing something wrong.
My son has had issues with his health since he was born. How could he not since living in my body? He is now 6 and is struggling to be healthy while so many kids are now eating or bringing in so many unhealthy foods to school.
I need to get myself back on track so I can be more attentive for my family and their health. They are the most important thing to me and I want for them to grow and realize the importance of health, and hopefully they will help others along the way.
I need the encouragement and help to keep on track and to better understand what is going on with my body and how to calm it and take control back again. I know that wheatgrass is good for you but wondering why it is doing what it is for such an extended period.

    Hello,
About 15 years ago, it was the work of people like Ann Frahm that got me interested in alternative healing modalities. Because of divine intervention I have had the opportunity to learn from people that are doing a wonderful work in the natuarl healing realm.
I am from Washington State, and have recently taken a huge leap of faith, in moving my family across country to Kentucky to run a lifestyle center to share what I have learned. We hope to provide the best place for people to come and have a healing experience.
I learned of this course from my friend Julio and planned to purchase it myself. The only problem is that after the move I have tapped out the piggy bank. I sent off an email to my friend Julio and asked him if he had the materials and would loan them to me. He told me he didn’t. So I began to pray that I might bump into someone who had the materials. About 2 weeks later, I got another email from my my friend Julio telling me about this opportunity.
In general I believe that there are many people doing great things in the natural healing realm, but I have become convicted that the raw connection is extremely important.
I would look forward to an opportunity to talk with yourself and glean the insights you have gotten from this community.
It is wonderful to experience good health, but so much more to share it with others.
    God bless

Hi Jim, I am not going to go into lengthy explaination of this reason and that reason. We all know that there is so much disease and suffering because of the medical community ,people who we have put our trust in and who thru the educational system has failed us. no where is this sadder and more appearant then with the Native American tribes who suffer from rates sometimes as high as 50%. We took everything away from them and gave them back an education that has left them with eating habits that we taught them, and now it is racking them in obesity and disease all at our hands. The killing goes on and on and they suffer in silence. if i am awarded one of the sets I would like to use the information to provide free nutritional counseling to the tribes and let this genocide of a great people begin to turn the tide to life. Do I have needs and kids with life threatening problems and myself wanting to know more about the raw foods way yes but even more then that I want to be an instrument of healing like Ann herself. She said it best and I could add nothing more:
The clue is not to ask in a miserly way-the key is to ask in a grand manner. So I am not begging for this or that. telling you how poor i am and the financial needs this is the miserly way. i want you to be a part of a grander plan/ Lets begin to heal this land.
    sincerly

I hope to win the course as I will diligently apply the principles and info in my daily life with the support of my spouse and the raw community here in S.D., CA. to improve our body, mind and spirit and help others to do.

By staying on this RAW food diet I hope to end my overeating
addictions to sugar, wheat and flour products and all processed foods. I am constantly reading and searching for the right program. Hopefully, this is it as I have tried many in the past ie Macrobiotics, Natural Hygiene, Water Feasting to mention a few.

    Hi Jim,
Congrats on your regeneration of health!
I am 45 years young and a single mom on disability, I cannot afford the program and would absolutely be thrilled to win!! I know now that this is my calling and am already inspiring many others, they see me now knowing how I was and ask what are you doing Donna?, I want to teach people how they can turn their lives and health around through real live food!!

I have been reading all I can in the raw foods health & lifestyle and have been applying it since March this year. At that time I weighed 319lbs,my doctor begged me to have gastric bypass surgery (I said no way!). I had no energy, depression, migraines, high blood pressure, edema, high “bad” cholesterol, sleep apnea, skin rashes, fungal infections, liver swelling & jaundice, and was borderline diabetic. I had trouble walking due to my back problems, edema & right leg neuropathy and pain…I was taking 800 motrins 3-4x a day, and vicodin, flexeril and an ocassional other pain meds already and I left the doctor that day with 5 more prescriptions knowing my liver and kidneys were already stressed…and then I cried knowing I had to do something and turn my health around!
I threw those new prescriptions away that day and took myself off the others gradually and wrote down my goals to change my life. I have had hypothyroidism, migraines, tmj-jaw pain, back pain-degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia for over 22 years after an auto accident changed my life….sorry to ramble here…

Since March I have lost 99lbs on 95% raw foods and I no longer have migraines, all my blood work is normal now!! great!! except the thyroid, still have to take thyroid pills daily,( I was feeling so good I stopped taking them in June a little prematurely, I know eventually it will be in balance through real nutrition in live foods).

I now can walk further, stand longer and no longer use the electric cart while shopping and I am working out at the gym too.. I have 50 more lbs to lose and am confident I will. Live foods make you feel alive and I have been sharing all I have learned this far with everyone, my kids are slowly trying my new recipes and so proud of me and happy I am no longer depressed and on pain pills! I do deep breathing now when I have pain instead or go get in the pool.

I know the raw food diet or “live it” is what I like to call it, is the key to achieving greater health & vitality… I have so much energy now!

I have lost so many relatives to cancers, breast, liver, colon, brain and heart disease caused by diabetes I know its all diet related. I am grateful to know my kids will have this knowledge and lifestyle for their longevity & health.

I would love to win this course to further my own healing, gain more knowledge, and teach others how they have a choice and can change their lives through living foods nutrition.

    Love of Life
    Sincerely,
    Donna

I feel that I need this course to learn more about going raw in the right way. I am 80lbs. over weight and my health is failing. I have lupus and fibermayalgia and chronic hives.
I have seen too much evidence that the raw food lifestyle really works not to believe in it. I have started having green smoothies for breakfest and salads with lunch and dinner. I can already feel the difference it makes in the way I feel physically and emotionally.

Jim, I’d love to study your course on Dr Anne Wigmore’s Raw Living Foods Programme as it would be extremely beneficial in what we are currently doing. I live in Kwazulu Natal in Africa which is the epicentre of the HIV/AIDS’s pandemic and there is such a great need for this raw food, healthy lifestyle. There’s nothing better than natural, wholesome food the way nature intended. We have wellness groups which meet regularly and we have speaking engagements where we share wellness principles. Having the opportunity to study your programme will go such a long way in helping us to help others. Many thanks. Yours in wellness. Charmaine

    Hello Jim,
Being a mother of two young, healthy children, I realize how blessed I am. My children are perfect, as all children are, and they have the potential for great things. How do I, as a parent, help them fulfil their potential?
Children need truckloads of love and attention, and my children certainly get that. What I need help with is giving and teaching them about superior nutrition and health. Winning this program would help me do that.

    Thank you for the opportuntity,

I am a manic depressent! I usually black out for awhile, doing things I am not aware of and eventially ending up in a mental facility. I cannot control this by myself, my wife thinks otherwise, and I am ususally put on different kinds of drugs.
I have gotten into the raw food movement, but not a 100%. I feel I need to learn more to be effective in a new way of eating. I have not had any reoccuring episodes since being on the raw food way of eating. I know this will work for me. I have 3 children and they are on the SAD diet, my wife feels they should learn to eat everything and nothing is bad as long as you eat it in moderation. She feels my new way of eating will get me sick and into trouble and another high bill again. I do not have have a mentor to share and encourage me on this new discovery. There are a lot of people out there that can do a lot better by going raw and I would like to help them also. I do not talk about the raw diet with my wife around. She keeps pushing cooked foods for balance. She calls this real food. Examples are white rice, white bread, pastries, soda and some meat. I am a vegaterian, but I do like pizza on occasions. I appreciate all that you do.
    Thank you and God bless,
    Don

Hello, my friend, I would absolutely love to win the home study course. I have attempted to learn and implement this eating lifestyle on my own – but oh, Jim even though my mind is receptive – my body and will are SO weak. I need the information, education and support of this program. I would love to be the positive example to my aging parents and my asthmatic/diabetic/doubting husband but at this time – that’s just not happening. I am experiencing health problesm of my own and don’t feel I don’t I have enough information to deal with these health concerns on my own. I have read and listened to many of your articles and interviews and believe you, Dr. Wigmore and this course are the real deal. So please, please, please consider me to receive your home study course. Thanks, Jeanne

I think I deserve to win this because I’ve been battling with extremely severe ill-health for the last 9 years. I cannot underestimate how ill I have been. My condition still has no conventional treatment and scientists, although making a little progress into the cause of my particular disease, are still baffled, clueless and can offer myself (and others with the same illness) very little hope.

Unlike other diseases like cancer which are fully recognised, researched and treatable conventionally, those of us who suffer with my disease are left alone, unaided by GPs, social services, and in many cases benefit services because some still class my disease as psychiatric despite the overwhelming scientific and anecdotal evidence that it is biologically based. In the time I have been ill, two friends have had cancer, and one was severely injured in a car accident, they all recovered in 6 months – 1 year and are getting on with their lives. Even my friends with cancer could still continue their daily living. Meanwhile I’m still stuck with no life (merely existing), bedridden and in a lot of pain, isolated with only an ageing mum to take care of me. I have seen only my parents throughout this illness as I’m too ill to receive visitors, I see my sister very occasionally, and am to consider myself ‘lucky’ if my GP visits once a year! Friends gradually fell away in the first year of my ill-health and any contact I have with a couple of steadfast friends is by text only, I can’t even speak with them on the phone!

Symptoms of this illness are too numerous to list. I am severely affected with ME/CFS and have no help except my mum! I can’t afford to buy the Wigmore Home Study due to my only income being state disability benefit.

I am, and know I have to be, responsible for myself. I know after all this time that I can’t rely on conventional medicine or scientists to come up with a ‘cure’. Since there is NO treatment for my disease I have gradually learned more and more about nutrition, herbs, alternative medicines including meditation, spiritual healing etc but I only heard about ‘raw’ a couple of months ago. I have been experimenting for the last month but still know very little. Due to my ill-health being so extreme, I cannot afford to become deficient in nutrients so I want to learn how to follow the raw lifestyle efficiently and correctly.

This is why I want to win the Wigmore Home Study. There are so many people like me out there, receiving no help from anybody, suffering from a hugely misunderstood disease which receives poor publicity and ‘mocking’ from the psychiatric lobby. Diabetes and M.S. were also, until quite recently, mocked by psychiatrists as ‘fake’ illnesses until they were properly understood by science and then they became ‘real’ illnesses and treatments for the conditions were researched.

ME/CFS deserves the same, and due to this year’s reveal that XMRV (a retrovirus, like HIV) may play a part, perhaps finally the condition being taken seriously is on the horizon.

However, I can’t afford to wait. I became ill at 21 and am now 30 years old. I’ve missed a large part of my life and all the things you’re supposed to do in your 20s (love, marriage, children, career etc) because I’m confined to bed. I want the Wigmore Home Study Course because I want to help myself, give my body the best possible chance of recovery and get my life back!

Please, please Jim, consider my entry, as ME/CFS is so badly publicised and unfamiliar in many people’s eyes, unlike cancer etc which everybody’s heard of. No-one knows just how awful this disease is when it is at its most severe stage. It feels like you’re dying and I wished so much that I would just die because it’s so painful and horrendous. Many people don’t realise that it’s an illness that can be fatal, either through physiology or suicide.

Any knowledge I gain from your Home Study Course will be passed on to my fellow sufferers. I have my finger’s crossed that you’ll consider me to win. I haven’t won anything in my life, and I REALLY WANT THIS, it couldn’t come at a better time and you have no idea what it would mean to ‘ME’! :-)

Kindest regards to you, Beth and the rest of your team.
    Christina. <3

Gee, after reading some of the the comments below, there are many who may much more deserving that me.

I am an unemployed diabetic without health insurance. The oral meds I do take have lost their effectiveness. So, I am eating mostly raw vegetables out of necessity.

I feel the course will help me to treat my diabetes, and the symptoms I’m experiencing (numbness in feet and hands). I believe this way of life is the only way to go.

    Hello,
Thank you so much for this offer to the community!!

In sharing why I see this course would benefit myself, I came to feel that it was really many others I was writing this request for.

To explain in more detail, currently my work focus is children and pregnancy. However, there are a group of people in the area where I live that are collaborating inside of potlucks, support groups, classes and counseling. We are in the process of writing a Not for Profit grant and opening a raw, vegan restaurant, community space and juice bar in our town, which has nothing like this to offer currently. This effort is so great that it’s reaching the entire capitol of Washington State! We have been sharing our breadth of knowledge in a co-operative type way, inside of lending material, information, and support. If this offer were to be extended to me, the whole community I am working within would also be sharing it! I see that then the growth will only grow and grow!!! In connecting in through the course, there will be more connections made to the CHI community, more lives changed, more lives saved!

Also, in going back to my work that was mentioned. I am teaching children and pregnant women the benefits of raw food so that from the beginning points of our existence, health can be leading us rather than dis-ease. This to me is information still lacking in the raw food world. I see that this course could propel my work, and continue its impact on all that come to it.

And in a ps. I am inside of a ‘low-income’ category, as a single mother. A full time student also, staying at home with her children and trying to find ways to support them that is does not compromise these values.

    Thanks so much~ Jaydee

After just hearing your interview I feel that this program will answer a lot of questions for me and change my lifestyle.
I have been raw on and off for the past couple of years after having breast cancer. I get totally confused with pros and cons of Agave, Cacao etc. and Recipes that I have of Gourmet Raw teachers. I have been putting on weight and am really feeling yuk!
From your interview it seems that Ann Wigmore’s course would be the most healthiest and give me the full information on nutrition and detoxing that I need to get my enthusiasm back with raw food and an energetic lifestyle.
    In appreciation – Maree

    Hello, Dr. Carey~

Thank you for the opportunity to win a Home Study Program!

    1. Why you feel that you should win the course.

    Why not? :-)

    2. Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you
    achieve greater health.

Well, ever since I started reading about the many testimonies and experimenting with some of the recipes (including juicing and green drink/smoothies), I have believed that the raw food diet is the best way to achieve and maintain true vibrant health. Your testimony along with so many others (my own experiences, too) are the proof needed for anyone to see that this is the most thorough way to “eat to live”! My belief and trust in God moves me to stay healthy by educating myself and my family on how to live the healthiest possible. As a wife, mother and homemaker, God has given me the privilege of being responsible for nourishing my family’s “temple” bodies. According to the Holy Bible, I am to do all to the glory of God, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1Corinthians 10:31) The Raw Living Foods Lifestyle is the most complete program I have seen. By enabling my family to live long and healthy, they will have the energy needed to carry out God’s great commission of telling others about Jesus Christ, the Holy One. While we tell them about living in Heaven for all eternity, we can tell them about living a long, healthy life until they get there! :-)

Thank you once again for this opportunity, your time and your commitment to sharing your blessings with others!

    Happy 59th birthday, Dr. Carey!
May you be blessed with many healthy birthdays to come!

    In Christ,
    Lisa

Dear Jim, I’m just like the next person. I’m FAT. 5′3″ and 210 lbs and 55 years old. I have read so much about raw foods from you and a few other experts. All the info I get is great. When I cant remember something I learned I go online to find it and cant remember where I saw it. It would be nice to have it all at my fingertips in one program.I really need it. I went raw for 2 weeks one time. I felt so good. I had energy and lost 10 pounds. So I know that the raw food lifestyle works. I just need to know how to do it the right way.I have many family and friends that are unhealthy like me. If I had this program and followed it I would prove it to them that it works. If I did win it I will post my progress on my page in Facebook starting with day one. Doing this will make me accountable for me cuz people will be watching me as I go on my journey of changing my life.
    Thank you Jim

as i sit here, writing again, discouragement overwhelms me. i have been sick for so long it is starting to become the norm and i can remember what it was like to feel well and in fact not sure if i ever did…
eleven years ago, i had the choice to have surgery that altered my life forever…it poisioned my body literally and continues to do so today. an unknown fungus filled my body and started to shut my immune system down, causing a host of problems and symptoms…i have since reversed the surgery but the signs of the abuse that my body took are a daily reminder of my hopelessness and loss. over the years i have tried to find the answer to better health, relief…anything to try and improve my quality of life. i have read and been to ppl that have studied under ann wigmore and have always been curious about her program. her story is amazing…
last time when you gave away a free copy i just knew i would stick out and hope flooded me for i knew i found the answer. when i saw this again i dont know how to explain it, i wanted to have hope and then realized how many of us are hurting. what could possibly make me stick out? i can only say that i would put my soul into the chance of being able to turn my life around. willing and open to share my experience with anyone who will listen…pass something onto my children that would save and protect them throughout their lives. ensuring that they would live a life a fullfillment and not hopelessness…
i pray this reaches you and also that thru this mass of emails and videos that i have been able to convey to you in short the real need that exsists in my life for a program like this…

Yes. Today is the day. Thanks for reminding me.
My partner and I saw Fresh! the movie just last week and were reminded that we want our kids to only put good stuff in their bodies. it was difficult buying the package of grass fed beef for $10 when a $3 package was sitting right next to it. But the sloppy joes we made for them lasted a couple of days even though we didn’t make the giant portion of meat like I used to for them just 10 years ago. They are bigger now too.
I was also reading today in the Essene book of Everyday Virtues about the Roman gluttonous feasts and vomitoriums. yikes! I’m not sure that our culture is that far off.

    Hi Jim,

Years ago I picked up a secondhand copy of one of Dr Ann’s old books – it’s one of my guiding books and often I’ve looked at your study programs and wondered how I could make the stretch to financing these. Thanks to all I’ve learnt so far, I completed a nutrition diploma, and this has led me to colon hydrotherapy but I want more. I want to learn and be authentic in Dr Ann’s ways so I can help teach more and more folk they deserve better and that it is attainable.

Thank you for all the work that you do and for your passion! and Happy Birthday too!

Quite simply winning this could save my life. Everything has been going downhill for so long that I need help in turning it around. Eating properly I know is good, but I have not found the impetus to make the change. This course could be a breath of fresh air to revitalize my existence. I am hoping that this occurs, so that I can help others in my same circumstance begin to value life.

Wow, I have read the many comments that you have received already and my first thought was that each one of these people deserve to win as much as I would like to. Yet, I must make an attempt because it is not only myself but my 7 year old daughter who has a not of my physical make up (including the tendency to be overweight) and I desperately want to change my health so I can be around for her as well as teach her a better way to eat so that she can have the healthy life that I may have sacrificed. I am only 48 and I would say I feel like I am in my eighties but I see too many of them running circles around me. I live with depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure and now diabetes has been added to the list. I have learned so much over the last year what I have done wrong all these years and now that working is too hard for me, I cannot afford many of the things to make the changes I need. This still does not stop me from trying….I buy organic when I can and I am learning to like nuts and more fruits and veggies. I just don’t have the creativity to keep things from being monotonous and going shopping I am get overwhelmed so I but a few things here and there but I get home and don’t know how to put it all together. The easy thing to do is to go back to old habits. I want and need to stop this cycle so I do hope I am one of the ones considered to receive the course. Thankfully I am able to teach my daughter good values and we both spend time volunteering and helping in the community. I would love to be able to share some of the things I learn with other so they can improve their lives also.

    Blessings,

    Sheila

    Hello Jim and Happy Birthday!

I would love to win Dr. Ann Wigmore’s course – Why should I win? I know I should win because I am totally ready for a change – not only in my life, but also in the lives of the people that I love.

I am a 47 yr old, gorgeous Italian/Swiss/Irish/German American woman, bright, in-love with life, a gourmet cook that loves to share, but also loves to eat! Currently, I am 160lbs overweight, with all the health issues that come with a life-time of toxic eating and, since I am the “cook” of the house, you can imagine the health of my family.

    AND …

I feel that the raw food diet will help me achieve greater health by – helping my body heal itself. A raw food diet will increase my energy levels. It will also make me look more youthful by improving my skin appearance, allowing me to release excess weight, and improve my digestion and that of my family.

Eating a raw food diet will decrease visits to the doctor by reducing and/or eliminating the risk of many diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, as well as many other health debilitating ailments.

Lastly, by eating a raw food diet, it will help the planet become healthier because it is a perfect solution for eco-friendly eating – it has less packaging and uses less of our energy sources for “cooking” (Example: juicers, dehydrators, blenders, and plain elbow grease).

    Warmly,
    Shawnie

First:”Happy Birthday!” I know winning this would be a big help to me. I do need encouragement, inspiration, and instruction on this lifestyle. I always try to share the lifestyle with those that are ill, but I’m not walking the talk, and if only I would, with the amazing results, I could be a walking testimony. One of the “secrets” promised is for gaining weight on raw foods. I have a friend who will NOT do all raw because he tried it and lost weight (and is already very much underweight). He eats tremendous loads of peanuts because they are “GOOD” for his blood type (according to the Eat Right For Your Blood Type Diet). I don’t know what path my life will take, but with the right mix of people, running a childrens’ home on a large farm (eco-village style) is a dream lurking around in the back of my head, and armed with the knowledge in this home study program would certainly be an asset. Thank you Jim & Ann!

    Greetings Jim,
Thank you for giving a gift on your birthday! Great idea! I would love to receive your home study course because I actually wanted to intern for you all, but I am helping my family care for our mom who is paralyzed on one side. She has been on a vegan diet since her physical disability occured because my sister is a dedicated vegan and wants all of us to eventually get to an all raw diet. I have been a vegetarian for almost two years now and I want to complete the transition to raw food. I love preparing the meals and getting the live energy! My sister and I eventally want to prepare dishes for a business that involves massage therapy, aromatherapy and cleasing programs. We know the healing potential of our diets and we want to help others achieve this gift. If I receive the course it will help not only me achieve greater health, but my family and friends. I will pay the knowledge forward and hopefully I will get to do an internship soon! Thanks again and have a fantabulous birthday!

I would love the opprotunity to win the course in order to help me with a future pregnancy and maybe avoid another c-section!
My husband and I tried for 15 years to have a child, and finally with the blessings of God and a pretty decent weight loss, I conceived my son. My pregnancy was not without problems, though, and there were many times I was on bed rest and he was born 3 weeks early due to high blood pressure. I had to have an emergency c-section due to fetal distress.
I desperately want to have another child, as I am fast approaching 35 and the risks with pregnancy skyrocket at that age. I truly believe if I am in a healthy state, my next pregnancy will be amazing and I may be able to VBAC.

Thanks for even giving us the chance to win this amazing prize!!!

    Dear Jim,
I have been in a battle with my health and want to live. I have had alot of labs and tests run this year. I have Adrenal exhaustion, Perimenopausal, Seasonal Affective Disorder, and test for inflammation in my bowls was at 98% inflammation….my doctor said this was the worst he has seen in his practice, he diagnoised me with IBD. I don’t want to undergo traditional medical techniques. I am tiered, depressed, and sad because I don’t have the energy to function on a daily basis. I have read several of Ann’s books and think she was on the right track for health and wellness. I love your newsletters and look forward to reading about different topics. I am tiered of being a traditional medical lab rat. The only cure for IBD is steroids and when that fails removal of my colon….PLEASE HELP!!
    Thanks,
    Trish A.

Why you feel that you should win the course? …
I am a retired teacher who is going back to school so that I can obtain a BSN through a ’second degree’ program. I wish to spend the rest of my days dealing with holistic health issues, including but not limited to, raw foods such as Ms. Wigmore advocated. I come from a line of women who have been teachers for 200 years beginning in Ireland. I have had experience in designing seminars and curriculum so I should be able to extrapolite Ms. Wigmore’s methods into an easy to understand protocol for individuals of all ages.

    AND …

Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health?
Such a diet will cleanse my system of toxins and give me the energy I will need to be a full time university nursing student. I will then have the personal experience to be able to teach others how this food lifestyle works and how it can be achieved.

I would consider it an honor to win one of these home study courses.

    Sincerely,
    Lynn Gold

I would like to win the Living Foods program. I have spent much of my life studying nutrition and know that if you are right with yourself then you are right with the world. I have been in a state of radiant health and want to be there again. I have noticed throughout my problems with depression that what I eat has a direct impact on my state of mind. If I were to have the right tools to make myself the healthiest I can be then I would develop the ability to use my energies for helping others and be less focused on my own issues. I would like to break free of old habits and be able to work for the world (personally, politically, and ecologically).

Currently, I am in school, am a mother, and have become deeply interested in the Slow Food Movement and food justice. I feel strongly that an awareness of the right principles of eating is one of the most important foundational tools to getting humanity on the road to a better world.

I know from past experience with raw foods that I can be in a state of health that most people aren’t even aware exists. I would be grateful to have a system to go by as it would get me (and my family) on the path to health in a world that surrounds us with dead end diets and confusing information.

Hello!! I’m 65 and my husband is 74. We’ve been raw before but have not been able to keep it up. We’re trying it again. My husband recently lost 20 lbs with mostly raw foods. We’d like to have the help to keep with the program. We’ve been off all dairy products, all animal products and now the next step is to go all raw. We’d love to have the Raw Foods Home Study Course to help us and those around us.

Hi Jim– woot– I notice we were both born in November 1950, although I’m slightly more senior than you are. I know that is not a terrifically great reason (lol)– I believe that the Ann Wigmore information would be an amazing source of wisdom for me as I age gracefully. I feel that I should win the course for many reasons. The first one would be that Im transitioning to a Raw food diet since a year back and already see the wonderful effects it has. This has made me start to do workshops here in Portugal where I live. There are not many people in Portugal speaking about the healing possibilities of eating a live food diet here and I feel that spreading this informaiton here is needed and very well welcomed. If I win this course I will participate all this knowledge with the people comming to my workshops and this way one course will start to help many people on the other side of the ocean! Portuguese people love meat, wine, cheese and coffee and there is alot of work to do here :) !
I would also be very happy as a mother of 2 beutiful princesses to deepen my knowledge and gain more inspiration to continue my efforts in raising them on a high raw diet. This course would aslo be a stepping stone for me to incorporate this knowledge in the homschooling project Im part of. We are now 6 families practising “community home schooling” and the menu is slowly getting more and more green. Imaginge, a school with a high raw diet! My vision is to serve green smoothies, sprouts, sallads, and deliscious raw sweets/deserts for them every day! This course will help me to educate all the parents to understand the power within raw food.

I am convicied that the raw food diet not only will help me achive greater health but all the people I meet and all the people I love. Simply put, the more life force and indirect sunlight I put into my body, the more vibrant I feel and the more energy I have to share with my community and my family. Raw Food should be a mantra for tired mothers :) !

Thank you for your light work and for sharing this opportunity with people!

    With love and gratitude,
    Shayna

    Thanks for this opportunity Jim!

I would love to win the online Dr Ann Wigmore Home Study Course. I look at the information about what is offered all the time. :) I have some health issues and I know that the raw food lifestyle would benefit me and my immediate family, as well as people who will be coming to my raw retreats in the future. I am dreaming of the day that I can make that happen. Right now I am having tough times financially. Most everyone can relate to that. I am incorporating more and more raw foods into my diet and have felt how different it is afterwards. Much lighter and more energy. It is just common sense that raw foods help a person heal. Everyone just needs to be retrained and redirected to the best way to grow, prepare and incorporate these gifts that have been provided for us.
Would love to one day go to the Creative Health Institute and spend some time immersed in all they have to offer.
So many worthy people writing in to win. I’m happy for the opportunity.
I appreciate all the information you provide. Thanks.

    Hello Jim Carey
I would just LOVE to win one of the courses. I spend hours reading up on raw Food advice on the internet BUT feel truly that the Ann Wigmore way of thinking is THE Raw Food fundi and very genuine. She proved it by living to a very ripe old age and if it hadn`t been for her untimely death who knows how much longer she`d have been around to carry on helping people. I have a lot of friends and even my children that have health problems and would love to be able to study the REAL course and give them `expert` advice and help them. I`m sure though that there are worthier causes but I thought I`d just try. I tried raw but just with smoothies and salads and things and my skin improved amazingly. The way I was doing it though didn`t seem to agree with my digestive processes so I`d like to learn `properly`.

I would love to win the course. I need it. Although I have books, I need something more somplified and comprehensive. I need to work with someone and have some accountability. I first heard about raw foods while reading about Ann Wigmore, and always felt she was the one who kept it all very simple and possible for everyone, including mere mortals like me, a sruggling single mother without child support. My total income last year for 2 people was $6000.

I really want to get moving on raw foods and helping and healing my youngest son of Graves Disease and me of my high blood pressure. I need to do so much more than I am, at about 40 -50% raw. I just can’t afford any courses right now, but have watched things given away on here before in the past and thought it was possible.

I am always trying, always hoping, always believing, and always working toward self and family improvement. I never, ever give up.

    Thank you,

    Valerie

I have been facing some fairly serious health issues (not supposed to happen, right?) and going through this material might help find the way to “fix what’s broke”, or turn things around some way.

I am a cancer survivor and I am also recovering from Atrial Fibrillation of my heart. I started the raw diet about 2 months ago and have already lost 20 pounds. (I look marvelous)! I’m not sure what I am doing in terms of eating complete nutrients daily. I pour over the computer every night trying to educate myself. I feel like I am spinning my wheels. There is so much contradictory advice out there. I so want to be successful at this, because I am already feeling so much energy, I hardly know what to do with myself. I am a senior on a fixed income and cannot afford to purchase this course. My husband is so supportive of our new lifestyle and is excited each day to experience the new food that I am creating for us to eat.

I am a cook by trade (although I am still on sick leave because of my heart) and if I could take this course I could transfer my newly learned knowledge to the people I serve. What a wonderful opportunity you have offered to two lucky people. Sort of like a gift that keeps on giving.

God bless you Jim, and Happy Birthday!

I believe that good health is the best gift we can give ourselves and our children. In earnestly trying to research what is the best way to achieve good health, I am finding myself overwhelmed and very frustrated by the contradictions among “experts”. Just when I think I am onto something very healthful, say drinking raw milk from healthy cows, I find a very convincing article on the dangers of dairy! I became very anemic on a vegetarian diet … does that mean eating meat is best for me? There are those who promote grass-fed, non-antiobiotic/non-hormone injected animals from local farmers. The reasoning on multiple levels makes a lot of sense. Yet spiritually I struggle with this, even if the animals have a good life and are treated with dignity. I am 39 years old and was raised on a SAD diet. I know this is not the way, but I have become so confused on what is the best lifestyle choice. I want to be able to pass on the secrets to a healthful life to my children, again, I believe it is the greatest gift I can give them, but I am struggling to find them for myself!

Hello and Happy 59th Birthday Jim. You look fantastic. Thanks for the opportunity of entering your contest to win you wonderful raw foods course. I can’t do a video, I haven’t learned how to yet and if this is the 2nd entry from me, it is because my computer skills are still in the learing stage. I live in a wonderful country, New Zealand and we have great produce here but people do not understand the concept of raw eating and a raw food lifestyle. I try to live the raw food lifestyle but with no back up it is very difficult and I am not doing too well at it. If I won one of your programmes I would have the knowledge to improve my health, get rid of my weight problem, oestoporosis, hypertension, arthritis etc and people would notice and would want to know how to achieve the same. Then I would be able to teach people about the raw food lifestyle in New Zealand. That would be so wonderful. Thanks.

    Hi Jim,

I would love to win as I have been interested in healthy ways of eating for a very long time. I eat well already, but I’d like to take it up to another level. I am also contemplating teaching others how to be well. I am convinced if everyone in this country would grow a garden, eat more raw foods and eliminate as many processed foods as they possibly could, then the bulk of our health care issues would dissolve. It really alarms me at how hard it is for people to change and how they have to hit a wall before they are willing to do so. I think I could be a catalyst to help teach people how to be well. I do not have any major health challenges that I am aware of, but I do have a thirst for learning how to create scrumptious meals without cooking. Eating raw, organic food is a perfect way to reduce my carbon footprint and that is huge to me. One of my life goals is to continue to spread the truth about wellness as opposed to sickness. Our system is totally broken and we are a bankrupt nation and I would like to find a way to try and help people learn that just a few dollars in seeds and sprouts and a little sweat equity and stepping outside of their comfort zone can pay back in spades.

Greetings on Thanksgiving Day. I am thankful for your help this past couple of years, Jim. I purchased the Ann Wigmore package. I’ve used it & loaned it to friends with health issues. I grow wheatgrass on a regular basis & have gotten 3 others to start too. I want to help others get well.
In 2008 my husband had lung cancer. He had two surgeries to remove part of both lungs. At his 6 week post-op check-up, the cancer was back. They monitored it to see how fast it grew, not wanting to start chemo too early. It kept growing. We drank fresh wheatgrass twice a day, drinking green smoothies & eating fresh, natural foods. By his 3rd check-up, his cancer was completely gone, baffling the doctors completely. True story! This is why I know raw foods & wheatgrass helps.

Shalom.shalom. Here I am once again asking once more to be place on the list to receive a home study course. I have tried many times but was not fortunate to be one of the winners to obtain the precious gift of life. I saw the add before and did not answer any of them. But today after turning on my computer the add to obtain a free copy of the home study course pop up. I started to delete it but I heard,” why not try again, nothing beats a trial”. So here I am the diabetic who wish to be truly healed and would go through any hoops to feel whole again. Since hearing the words “You are a boderline diabetic I have ventured on many roads trying to find the answers that would eliminate this drastic thing from my being. I have learned many things of which some that were good for me and some that caused me harm.(being raw do have a dark side) Never the matter I am still willing to learn the real truth to be raw and not flip flopping from raw to cook and visacersa. My greatest wish is to go somewhere for 21 days but as a retired person it is too expensive. I want to learn, no I need to learn under someome! Oh well enough of the sad story. Please add my name to the list. Mabey I will be lucky to hear my name called.

1.Why you feel that you should win the course

    Hello Jim
My name is Jasmine. I am living in Adelaide Australia with my family. I am almost 29 years old. Thankyou for the opportunity to study Raw Foods as an online course. I am aware that my responsibility in this lifetime is to become my ‘full potential’. I beleive that a diet of living foods and a support program is the key that can unlock this potential.
Feelings of frustration about how i am living each moment remind me that I can grow still more in love.
Deep dissolusionment about to continue and succeed on a raw food diet also reminds me to seek support for this.
I feel encouraged by this opportunity you present us, in order for me to move beyond unhelpful feelings to reach my full potential.
I feel surely this course is a key!

2.Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health

My body remembers! It remembers love and it remembers how to feel alive and healthy! Greens, fresh fruit, and living foods made from the earth’s love messages to us. My body remembers and it feels the love that we all deserve to feel.
    Thankyou!

Forgot to say that I`m from South Africa. You see the `word` is spreading and people are disillusioned by what they are reading, hearing, seeing `out there` and we can tell what is `right`!!:) :) The Anne Wigmore way of eating seems right. To have the opportunity to `get it right` is a great incentive but whoever wins this comptition I say `Good on you`!! Thank you for this opportunity Jim Carey and Happy b/day! I`m SO excited cause my daughter and only 2 g`children are arriving from Australia on Tuesday (she`s expecting our 3rd in March). I`m hoping to `train` her a bit in the way of eating and the way those two little darlings eat as well in the 6 weeks that they are here! So wish me luck cause she`s stubborn and thinks I`m trying to poison her and them!

This is an exciting opportunity to have a chance to win something as valuable and precious as the knowledge, insight, and wisdom, to a truly healthy way of life. I am relatively green when it comes to being in the raw food way of life. However, I do understand that eating cooked and processed foods can seriously influence the aging process. I am a teaching tennis pro and am reaching out to the seniors and super seniors in the tennis community and working to be a positive influence in getting them to see that through physical conditioning on a regular basis they can slow down the aging process. I would love to be able to share with them from a more grounded and learned understanding of how eating raw food can seriously increase their enjoyment of life.

My family are prisoners of the standard American diet and are constantly fighting illnesses of various kinds. I believe that raw food does maximize one’s potential for greater health through keeping life simple. It only makes sense to eat food that is closest to it’s original state as possible. Although it has taken me years to see through the fallacies of the standard American diet, keeping eating simple is a great way to avoid the complex illnesses of life.

I would consider it an honor to be the recipient of this valuable prize. Thank you, Rob

    Hello Jim,

I am writing you from Romania, being so happy on how internet can connect people all over the world, sharing the same ideals and beliefs.
I would be thrilled if I could win the course of two reasons:
    - I am a vegetarian for 5 years and a 100% vegan diet has cured me for a chronical fistula (doctors’ recommendation was surgery). In the last few months something happened to my body after eating cooked (vegetarian or vegan) food. I felt like craving for something fresh. As I have learnt to listen to my body, I realized that RAW is the solution. I have started eating more and more raw wholefoods but still feel that are lots and lots of information I need
    - The second reason is that I am preparing for my Advance Diploma in Nutritional Therapy and plan to start a career in this area. I know your course will help get further with my knowledge and beliefs. I want to help others in chosing a natural healthy lifestyle (raw :) )!

I not only feel, I know that raw food diet will help me achieve greater help. It’s the food that God gave us with love, food that we destroy each and every day. I’m not much of a Bible reader, but I know that before Noah people used to leave 700-900 years. May it be or not, but raw was what they ate. I know that industialization has brought us so many diseases and death. Why not use what nature has to ofer?

Thank you so much for this opportunity and have a great Happy Birthday to you!

    All my best wishes,
    Cristina

I would appreciate the free program the most! 6 years ago my life was changed. As the mother of a 2 1/2 year old i was knocked off my feet by colitis. Both my parents had recently passed (2 yrs apart from each other). During the long hospital stays my husband lost his job and had to step into main caregiver of our daughter and of me. We made it through, and are stronger and closer! Werecently adopted a son, he was abandon at birth and fought 5 weeks through severe cocaine withdraw. I work hard everyday to keep my family eating clean, healthy and raw! I would love the opportunity to accept all your advise in helping lead my family to a strong and healthy future!

    Hello:
I was introduced to the Raw food lifestyle in August 2009. I began my new lifestyle in eating raw October 1, 2009. My pantries, cupboards, freezer and refrigerator were all cleaned out and replenished with living foods. I haven’t studied or researched about raw foods and would seriously like to learn more as I continue in this new lifestyle. I began this new lifestyle because I had a stroke in September 2008 and continued with rehabilitation for over 6 months. I am not fully recovered, as of this date, and unsure if I ever will be but I have realized from the what I’ve learned and personally can testify that living foods feed and nourish your cells. Since I’ve had the stroke, I began an organic community garden, with the help of volunteers, on over an acre plot. Fresh produce was distributed to the individuals in the community. I began the gardens as therapy to not only push myself to recover from the stroke but to also promote fresh living foods to those unable to afford fresh produce. It’s a shame that fresh broccoli costs more than a loaf of bread in my local area.
Anyway, through the gardens I have also offered monthly educational classes, FREE, to anyone who would like to learn. I would love to win the course, so I can teach others about the benefits of living, raw foods and offer recipes to those wishing to learn about the benefits.

In the past 57 days, that I have been strictly eating a raw food diet, I have noticed my ph change from a 2.5 to 6.5. My energy has immensely increased. I slimmed down 3 sizes. I no longer have acid reflux, digestive difficulties nor bowel problems. I sleep through the night with no more night sweats or hot flashes. My complexion is brighter and clearer. As I continue the raw food lifestyle, I am believing to see more changes in my upcoming ultrasounds and ct scans and clarity of mind. I really don’t know what I am suppose to be doing on the raw food lifestyle, but by me living off of fresh salads, raw nuts and seeds and an occasional fruit, I have definitely seen a difference. I am a walking testimony to those around me, as they say “You look great, what are you doing?” I would like to offer some background knowledge and tools to others to help them understand the benefits of raw food living.

Please consider me for the Free Online course, and I can grow and learn about raw foods and teach other through not only the gardens but through my own testimony of living the lifestyle.

    Hello everyone!

I would like to start by saying thank you for such a great opportunity of winning this competition :-)

I want to learn the proper way of eat raw foods. I believe that there is a balance to everything and I want to be taught the proper way to succeed with being a raw vegan. I not only want to succeed, but I also want to remain a raw vegan for the rest of my life and to be a great example to others. I believe it will change my life for the better. Not only will I be a healthier individual on the inside, but I’ll be a healthier individual on the outside as well. With all the doubts and negativity that I face on a daily basis with my family, I would love to show & prove and to be a healthy example to my mother and to the rest of my family & friends that eating “raw” is the real deal. I want to live a more peaceful & spiritual life as well as feel closer to GOD. By eliminating meat and other cooked foods, I believe that I will be able to think more clearly there for making much better and more logical decisions for myself and my future children. I believe that I am a born leader and as a born leader, I need to lead by example. Winning this contest will be a great start for me to begin a much healthier lifestyle, not only for myself, but for others as well. Thank you again for this opportunity.

Dear Jim I am at a point in my life (62 years old) where I know my life is going to change drastically. I have been preparing to start a detox centre under the supervision of a naturopathic doctor. My preparation has been my own search for health after heavy metal toxicity affected my whole system. I have been growing wheatgrass and juicing it, as well as making rejuvelac, sauerkraut, keifer, etc. for a long time I grow my own vegies especially leafy vegetables like kale which I also juice. The sad thing is that in spite of all of this I could not get my health back until I had my poisonous teeth removed and started Dietrich Klinghard’s chelation protocol to remove the metals from my body. I see so many people with dreaded diseases who have no idea that they can and should take responsibility for their own health, I would like to help them to wake up to that fact.
I have a lot of knowledge and practical know-how to give. I have, however, no certificate or diploma to show for it.
I am not in a financial situation at the moment to afford the course, I have often looked at the description of the contents with longing. There is so much I could do with it when we start the detox centre, so much, it would be a dream come true. Please let it come true for me.
    Warm regards

I want to try a few different raw food recipes because I am physically challenged due to injuries I received while working. I know how much better I could feel if I went raw because I attended Ann Wigmore’s in New Mexico for 10 days and it was wonderful. Since then I was fired due to my inability to perform my duties because of the falls I’ve had at work. I’ve been trying to get my retirement for almost 2 years and it appears I may be getting my medical retirement soon which means I’ll have a little bit of money to purchase supplies for raw food prep. I’ve been fed by my church for 2 years and I eat the same canned foods, etc. that they have at the storehouse and I’m so excited to go back to raw but never really had a chance to get into it because I was fired 2 months after I detoxed at the Ann Wigmore Foundation. I am on 11 different prescriptions and experience chronic extreme pain. I know my body cannot continue to function while I’m on these meds so I want to wean myself off them by going raw and letting food repair my body. I am so behind financially and will not be able to purchase books, etc. necessary for me to learn how to live raw. This free course could be the blessing from Heaven I’ve been waiting for.

Wow! I am in the process of getting ready to write a business plan ( for a healing foods type cafe/store)and the cafe would be raw and I need to know waaay more than I currently do. I was consdering going to Hippocrates, but with two young kids it’s hard to get away. This would be perfect! I have great visions of wellness for the world. This business is the vehicle for helping to bring it to my community.

    Dear Jim,
My desire or need to win the “Raw Foods Home Study Program,” is no more nor less than all these other wonderful people that have entered. I’m submitting this entry to win because I am committed to saving my daughters, mother and my aunts lives, all of whom have under gone the ravaging effects of chemo and radition ( all within the last year.)Nine months ago I was sitting in doctors office with my beautiful thirty year old daughter as she was given the news ..stage 3 anal Cancer! What followed was shock, fear and what do we do? All I could think about was .. is my child going to die, please save her, your a doctor you can heal her! Well instead they filled her body with toxins, poisons and more drugs than anyone one should take in a lifetime. The day she looked at me and begged me to help her, was the day I started fighting back and looking for natural ways to cure her. I first came across “The Gerson Therapy”. Bought a juicer and made her green juicers and knew I was on to something the day she stood by the sink drinking her juice and said ,”Mom, this is going to work because I feel healing love in every drink I take.” Since that day, I have read and listened to everything I could get my hands on about the healing miracles of raw living foods, taken classes from a wonderful woman of whom attended the “Hippocates Inst.” My daughter is starting to come back to us and healing body, mind and spirit, because of Dr.Ann, yourself Jim and Dr.Gerson! I am committed to the Raw Living Diet for the rest of my life. To spread the word by being an example for my loved ones, for a healthier tomorrow for our grandchildren and our planet! Thur my daughters eyes I see tomorrow and it looks healthy, vibrant and full of love for all of us. My husband and I are spending every extra dollar we have to get her all the best alternative healing we can and that leaves little left over for purchasing the Homestudy Course at this time, and if I were to win, you all can count on me to give all I have to learn, share and use it to make life better for as many lives as I can in what time I have left on this earth! Also if I were to win,I would pay this special gift forward in the future. We can no longer except nor expect the medical profession to make our pain and dis-ease away, because they can’t and never will. But we can and because of all the wonderful people that have written to you Jim, my heart is bursting with hope where there was once fear, love where there was anger and a dream and belief that humanity is waking up!Love and best wishes to all of you ..
    Debbie

    Hello Jim,
I hesitated to submit this because my story is similar to many others who need a program like this, but can’t afford it.
I have been very sick so I lost my job, have used up savings etc. and am at the end of my resources. My husband is retired – with no pension. He can work -a very little- but has a herniated disk in his lower back. All our resources have been lost due to injuries, illness, death of our daughter, a house fire, and later a flood and now this recent financial crash which wiped out his pension. We live in a rented basement apartment with absolutely no assets left. Nothing to show for a lifetime of diligence. Sounds like we have a curse, doesn’t it? I want to believe not.
I have several serious conditions to deal with: obesity/osteoarthritis in the knees so I can’t exercise/back/chronic bronchitis. The most urgent is a rare type of ovarian cancer. I had surgery, but there is no other treatment for it offered by the medical profession. They say that all they can do is cut it out when it recurs. WHEN-not IF. This kind recurs-always. Tests have shown that a new tumor is growing, as are several other cysts.
I went to my specialist yesterday thinking he was going to discuss a date for surgery to get it out. He actually told me that if they operate, they will kill me. I was so shocked that he would actually say that to me. Now if they HAVE to do surgery at some point, I will be more terrified than ever.
Maybe that is for the best as I have now no other choice than to commit to an alternative method. The only problem with that is: While medical here in Ontario (Canada) is free, alternative methods all cost huge amounts of money, what with the consultations and the supplements, etc.
I understand that people do need to make a living and this is a wide-open field. I am so glad that they are choosing to do it with products and procedures that really benefit people and that are safer and more natural-without the bad side effects. But that shuts out a lot of people – many who are not “rich baby boomers” with assets, pensions and savings. If we were young we would still have hope to recover financially.
I am so frustrated because I am well aware of these wonderful natural methods, but can’t try them. Besides, it’s hard to know on my own what to do, even (or especially) with all that information out there. It gets confusing because there is so much conflicting information. I tried the Budwig plan for a long time because it was financially possible, but the cottage cheese freaked me out and I honestly believe it has done me harm, especially after reading The China Study, and hearing what Hippocrates has said about dairy. I am convinced that the vegan diet/lifestyle is the best but with active cancer, do I eat fruit or not?
I need a real plan – a method to follow whereby I can start to improve my overall health to withstand a surgery if/when it might be necessary. But most of all, I want to try to eliminate this tumor so the question of another surgery may not even arise. I believe that the methods developed by Ann Wigmore make the most sense.
I just wish I had someone I could even ask for help to buy it, but my husband and I are totally alone. I was hoping I could somehow go to a Hippocrates place, but since I no longer have an income, that is out. My next hope is the course.
I would consider it a huge break and be forever grateful if I were to win this course.
    Thank you.
    Teri

In short words, I should win this course because I lost my job 4 months ago and winning will be very great, specially now.
I did the juice diet 10 years ago when I lived in Brazil and it worked very well, thats why I’m sure the raw diet will do the same.
I am 52 years old but I feel that I am like 70 years old and
the raw diet, according to your photos, will rejuvenate me.
( I gain 74 pounds in the last 10 years and I feel miserable.)

    Hi Jim,
I am a ‘closet raw fooder’ lacking in knowledge on how to eat a raw living diet while meeting my nutritional needs. I am often confused with the barage of mis-information on how to do something I feel is so natural as eating a raw diet.
As a massage therapist, I will be a living example to my clients, many of whom need the benefits of a raw food diet and your program. I’ll share the concept with them but direct them to your web-site so they can order their own personal program from you and start their journey toward health.
Winning this fantastic course would provide me with the knowledge I need to do this. I feel that the raw living diet is inspired information that will awaken me to my natural self and help focus beyond to guide, teach and help not only myself but those I come into contact with.
    Happy Birthday!
    Hungry for knowledge,
    Diana

    Dear Jim,

I am living in Brazil, with my wife (a DDS) and kid treating sleep apnea and snoring (we own a dental clinic and lab that builds anti-snoring devices) and now, together with Dr. Carlos Guimarães, MD we are about to modify his natural medicine clinic which uses acupuncture (Dr. Guimarães has been responsible for assembling the Bras. Med. Association’s acupuncture specialization board exams for many many years), ayurvedic & chinese medicine, and bee & herbal terapeutics to include, as the mainstay, Dr. Wigmore’s and Dr. Gerson’s therapies to heal people thru nutrition which has been the path Dr. Guimarães has chosen after many years of practice as the primary route to health and healing. We want to teach and treat people and patients both from Brazil and from afar, thru preventive measures and for those who already have acute and chronic diseases such as: diabetes, heart disease, cancer, artritis, etc., give them a real fighting chance.

We could use any information for the benefit of our patients and client network and plan to come to you for a visit probably at the end of next semester after Dr. Guimarães’ 2 mo. trip to India in January 2010.

I would like you to know that my father-in-law and I have had a ecological wheatgrass production facility in Belo Horizonte, Capital City of the State of Minas Gerais and have been working with many cancer patients (unfortunately only with frozen wheatgrass juice) to eliminate or reduce chemotherapy adverse reactions (it’s hard to work preventively here).

Also, a few of my family members have stayed at the Optimum Health Center in the San Diego area and also at the Gerson Hospital in Tijuana.

    Best Regards,

    J. Edward Johnson

    1. Why I should win?

    I’m a beginner, I need suggestions,
I want a course to answer my questions.

Sprouting and soaking and growing wheat grass,
When are they ready? I do need a class.

Away from the kitchen, what should I eat?
An apple, an orange, or should I just cheat?

Detox sounds good, but how and with what?
And are fruit teas banned because they’re too hot?

All those ingredients, it seems such a lot!
Whoops! Almonds need soaking, umm, I forgot.

    Variety, balance, where to begin?
I hope you can see, it’s vital I win.

    2. What living raw food will do for my health

So, raw living food will provide for me,
A new start by eating just healthily.

Keeping the doctor away from the door,
How could I ask for anything more?

With energy to spare, I’ll break new ground,
Plant veg in the lawn; from my joints no sound.

Eating alone will soon be in the past,
With partner and family, meals will be vast.

And as I progress, I’ll get much stronger,
Look younger, feel fresh, and maybe live longer.

And when I dream of the great things to come,
I will know that it’s all because I won.

    Happy birthday Jim

Thank you for doing this very fun and a very good way to get the word out about Dr. Ann!

I feel that I should win the course because for the last 10 years I have had full body, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome ie CRPS/RSD. This is one of the most painful condition’s recorded in the medical books. I would like to study this course and research it for a cure for CRPS/RSD. This dis-ease was first discovered in 1872 and since then millions of people all over the world, have had it with no cure in site. I think Dr. Ann is on target with healing disease’s like this.

Through the research I have done, the only remissions of CRPS/RSD I have found is through raw foods. I would like more education as to what is the best way to grow raw foods, prepare raw foods, and combine raw foods etc.

Thx again for having this contest, and “Happy Birthday”!

I want to win because I know the healing power of Ann Wigmor’s Living Food Program from my 20-year’s experience. Many of those so-called “technical things” (how to sprout and prepare food, etc) I practiced myself. Now I want to take it one step futher and become a trainer in Living Food Program so that more people will get support and succeed with this change. Here in Finland we have a Living Food Society and Ann Wigmore herself came to Finland to inspire and train enthusiasts in her program. The books were published and training courses organized. Some 10 years ago the initial enthusiasm went done and now we experience a new wave of interest and enthisuasm. Initially the program was rather strict as it aimed at people who were seriosly sick and could not afford to slip from the diet. This segment is important for us. However, there are many young and healthy people who tackle the food diet from ethical and ecological points of view. So, a beginner in living foods faces a mix of approaches and training programs. Our Living Food Society needs an update of our message and the training offer. We have now only a couple of trainers already retired who had graduated from original training program. With the the new Online Raw Food Course we can update our materials and improve our support for all those who are interested in Ann Wigmor’s Program

I think I deserve to win the course because I can not afford to purchase it at this time. I am studying holistic nutrition at Clayton College of Natural Health and I think this program would be a great compliment to it.

I am a four-time cancer survivor and learning the correct way to eat a raw diet would help me get healthy and fight the chances of getting cancer again.

Like many others here, it looks like we all deserve to win this contest! Also, like some others, I don’t own a web cam, don’t know anything about you tube, and am totally blind on top of that, so sorry, Jim, no video here, either. Maybe I can add videography to my list of budding talents, though! I would like to win this contest because I have been trying to incorporate raw foods into my lifestyle for around two years now, and have been high raw. I’d like to be a hundred percent raw because I belive it’s healthier and I think the way Ann Wigmore did it was healthiest and I can’t take the time to ship myself down to Florida to learn how. I myself happen to be a person who lives with insulin dependent diabetes. I am 43 now and have had this disease since age 8. My husband is also an insulin dependent diabetic and he is 49 and has been diabetic since he was 11. He also now has lymphoma. As a result of his diabetes, he has a kidney transplant, which he could lose as a result of the cancer treatments. Raw foods could help all of this. In our community, I am often already approached by others and asked questions about health and nutrition. The more I learn, the more I can pass on to thers. Thanks for having this Thanksgiving contest, and whoever wins it will benefit along with those in their life!

    Hi Maureen:
    In response to your post..
I read your post and I to have hypertension and am on medication. I have gone totally raw since October 1st, 2009 and have already pulled off one of my meds which was for acid reflux. Since I have gone totally raw, I can honestly say that I do not have any food cravings nor any desire for the old foods I ate. I am encouraging you to do as much as you can and begin when you are ready and focused. When I began in October, I didn’t know much about eating raw foods except for all the testimonies I heard of people getting healthier and more vibrant. I wanted to embrace health and get more vibrant so I went raw. Yes, I still go to the medical doctors, because I did have a stroke a year ago, so the neurologist and cardio docs monitor me but yes I am moving forward to a healthier lifestyle. You will learn as you go and as you jump into the raw lifestyle. There is always so much to learn, but taking that first step is also important. I encourage you to clean your cupboards and frig, and move forward at a pace your comfortable with. Since I’ve found this website just a few days ago, I have learned so much about the Raw Food lifestyle. I wish you the best on your journey.

    Hello Dr. Carey,

Obviously you have inspired many people to look further into the RAW FOOD lifestyle. I’m doing my little victory dance for you!! You must feel amazing when you wake up to know part of your mission in life has been attained. AT SUCH AN EARLY AGE I MUST SAY. ;)

I have a story similar to many here. I was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 15 but I do not like even saying that because to me that is just a word. I’m 31 now and on a daily basis I search for new healthy things to incorporate into my/my family/my clients daily lives. Whether it be food or natural products I’m always on the lookout. In January 2010 I will celebrate my 10th year of helping others. Massage Therapy, Aromatherapy. I recently lost a best friend to cancer. I gathered soooo much information on raw food and healthy choices for him. I think it was too overwhelming though. He needed it simplified and I am no expert yet. With this course though I think I’ll be taking a huge leap forward into this lifestyle. I want to be able to help sooo many more people in my lifetime. As I’m positive you do too.

    From one healer to another,

    Love and Light to all!

It would be wonderful to win this home study course. I am a 57 year old mother of 14 and grandmother of 23. I had a stroke about 3 1/2 years ago that has left me a little bit slow in mind and body. I have studied natural health for years. I have been learning about raw foods for the past little while and am convinced it is the way to go. I still have 5 children at home and know they would all benefit, along with my husband and I. I want to be able to give our children the best for their health. I believe this to be the best way to go. I want so much to be able to see all our children healthy and happy. I want to give them the tools to use in their own lives. I also want to be able to enjoy our grandchildren without worrying about my ability to hold and play with them. I have been suffering with chronic candida for 9 years. I have tried everything and am interested in wheatgrass and raw foods to try to rid myself of this chronic condition. I study holistic healthcare now and realize how and why we have become an obese and sickly society. If people would just learn to eat properly and eat sustainable and seasonal food, they could be healthier and more active. This course would help me in the future with my nutrition counseling practice that I hope to open in about a year. Thanks.

I deserve to win this contest because I will absorb the information and apply it to better my life and the lives I touch. I survived the gatric bypass surgery five years ago and since then have become more conscious. A living/ raw food lifestyle is essential for my health. I have been doing my best to acquire the right information to implement this radical change.

Thank you so much for the inspiration. This contest has evoked a hopefulness that I’m deeply enjoying.

    Hello Jim,

I am commenting on this blog not for the opportunity to “win” the Ann Wigmore Home Study Course and your personal consultation but to “win the opportunity” to use the program and your consultation for my situation. Let me introduce myself. My name is George. I have an auto-immune muscle wasting disease (ALS), considered to be incurable. One reason I would like to have the opportunity to use the “Ann Wigmore Home Study Course” is to use your research and expertise in raw/living foods to determine the best way to reverse and stop a disease that kills motor neurons, leads to muscle wasting, and eventually paralysis. I am still physically functional, but muscle wasting has led to overall weakness, with pain now developing in my extremities. My goal would be to regenerate nerve connections, rebuild muscle, gain strength-both physically and spiritually, thus improving the quality of my life.

I have many books on the topics of (1) raw/living foods (Victor Kulvinskas, Brenda Cobb, Steve Meyerowitz, Victoria Boutenko, etc.) (2) self help methods (EFT, Qigong, etc) and (3) spiritual growth material (meditation, Silva Method). I have explored these options to help change my physical and emotional self while developing my spiritual well being for the first time in my life-hopefully healing myself in the process. All of these programs/methods have great concepts and ideas. I continue to use many of them, but I have not found the right formula for raw/living foods living that I feel confident in and will be consistent with in my situation. Questions I have such as, “Where do I start?”, “What foods should I have/avoid?” How do I eat to survive, as opposed to the habitual/emotional eating that most likely contributed to my ill-health. I believe understanding the concepts of a raw/living foods diet will help me establish the focus and routines necessary for success, thereby achieving greater health. I believe the Ann Wigmore Home Study Program will offer me this opportunity. In the download I received from your site, The Teachings and Programs of Dr. Ann Wigmore, the statement “the happiest people I know have been those who have accepted the primary responsibility for their own spiritual and physical well-being— those who have inner strength, courage, determination, common sense, and faith in the process of creating more balanced and satisfying lives for themselves”, is how I want to proceed with my life, a living foods life, every day, one day at a time, for as long as I shall live.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my story,
    George

    Hello Jim,
I would like to start off by saying Happy Birthday.
Then I would like to fill you in briefly of the journey I’ve been on since my son Bayden was 18 months old. He developed food sensitivities which showed itself in the form of eczema so bad that he looked like he had been burnt, waking with the sheets stuck to his skin in the morning.
With many frustrating visit’s to many differant GP’s leading us nowhere as they merely suggested for us to apply cortisone cream, I went home and researched the cream they suggested I apply and decided then and there that I needed to start reading and finding different ways to help him.
After visiting many naturopaths we were able to determine that he was sensitive to all foods but chicken, rice and eggs needless to say he won’t eat these things today.
Around that time was when the realities of heated plastic was begining to be more well known, I blame myself for him not having the ability to process these foods as I ate frozen dinners heated in a microwave (not knowing any better) for lunch and diner pretty much everyday of my entire pregnancy with him.
He now has a texture problem, when foods enter his mouth he gags and then has to spit it out.
He is still breaking out in the face today for certain things he eat’s.
I would love to win this contest so that i could better educate myself to help him get healthy as I know his body is starving and I’m not sure what else I can do.
I am so inspired and motivated by what you do and am greatly interested in the Hippocrates Institute I read Anne Wigmore books as well as Elaine Hollingsworth’s book, love, love, love them and there is not one day that goes by that I don’t pass the information that I read to others that I think are in need.
In closing would like you to know that I would not only be helping my son and my family to become healthy but it is a goal of mine to help and motivate others on my journey as well.
    Thank you,
    Nancy

    Hello Jim,

I would like to nominate my sister-in-law Dawn. She was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus four years ago next month. Her esophagus was removed. Her stomach was stretched to fill the void. Now her stomach is much smaller and the food she eats does not remain there to digest properly, thus she is constantly lacking energy but not will to learn.
Dawn is always searching for ways to get the most out of any food or drink. She found the most benefit from the raw food methods she has discovered on her own.
I believe this course will help by saving her time so she is not searching all over the place for direction. The most important results from this course would be getting the most vitamins & nutrients from her diet.

    Thank you,
    George Hatrak Jr.

I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. My numbers were very high and I want to prove to my physician and others that it can be controlled with food rather than insulin. While I am having success, I really want to learn all I can so that I understand completely what I need to do and why.

    Aloha Jim,
First I want to thank you for being so generous to give us all an opportunity to win. ;)

I have been the caregiver for most of my family. I took care of everyone when they took ill. Both sets of grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousin, both parents. I lost 9 close family members in 4 years to CANCER, including my parents. I was so busy taking care of all my family that I forgot to take care of myself. I eventually changed to a vegan diet and tried raw but it did not work so I went back to eating vegan. I needed help to go and stay raw. I knew I could not stay on the same path as my parents.
Finally my husband and I adopted 2 children from an orphanage, they were very sick, malnurished, borderline autistic. Our daughter was so bad they told us she might not make the trip back to the U.S. By Feeding them a vegan diet was incredible and now trying a raw food diet has been even more incredible! They are pretty healthy and beautiful!
Just when I thought my life was good again I found out I have the start of cancer in my ovaries, I said WHAT, after all I have done for my family now it is my turn, I said NO there has to be something or someone who can help me so I asked the universe please provide me with the knowledge to heal myself by eating raw I know it is Gods diet, he intended for us to eat this way, the raw food diet will help achieve greater health for me and everyone, but I have failed and need guidence. Then the next day I read about this opportunity!
Not only do I have the early stages of cancer I also suffer from very painful osteoarthritis, my hips are bone on bone, signs of lupus, infertility, migranes, many other health problems, I just can’t list them all.
I feel like I am dying just like my parents, grandparents and my other family members did with cancer.
I want to make sure my children don’t follow in my families footsteps, I don’t want them to experience watching their mom and dad dying just like I had to with my mom and dad.
I am a retired school teacher and love to teach, I could really make a difference in peoples lives by having the tools and knowledge to teach the raw food lifestyle. I would love to continue Dr. Ann’s teachings. She was an amazing women!
I would be more than grateful if I won, not only would it save my LIFE, my husbands and childrens life, I would be able to help my friends and the few people left in my family!
    I Would change the world!!

    Mahalo and warmest aloha’s,

    Cynthia
    P.S.
    Have a FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY!

I have been a student of achieving health through diet since pregnancy and breastfeeding. Then shortly after my last child was born I had a dentist mix metals in my mouth full of amalgam fillings. The results were a biological disaster.

it was like I had a stroke words all jumbled, Skin rashes.

I had all the amalgam removed. I have studied and tried to implement a living foods lifestyle by following books and web sites. I have found it difficult to do without a step by step plan. Sure I will grow wheatgrass and sprout. With very in consistent results. We get mold lack of sprouting.

However I feel a comprehensive step by step course will allow me to achieve optimal consistent results for me and my family. Set into motion a real plan to stick to it. We are motivated as each of us are experiencing some symptoms from the SAD diet.I would rather not disclose all the medical diagnosis here. My self education has taught me that the only way to reverse the course is drastic action. I know the body renews itself on what it is fed.
This would me hiring a person versed in this diet or going to a on site retreat. Both are financially out of the question. Receiving this course would be a huge blessing not only or myself but for my family of 5.

Thank you for this opportunity and for your work in getting the word out.

I believe that I should win because I love learning about new things, especially in regards to natural health and living. I am currently earning my Bachelors from Clayton College of Natural Health and I believe that this would be a great supplementation not only for me but others I could possibly help.
I have always been interested in learning more about raw foods/raw diet and I believe this would be the perfect way to go about it.
I have numerous health issues I believe would be helped by learning this way of life. By winning this and doing the program I believe I would achieve much improved health and I would pass the learning and wealth of knowledge about this superior topic on to others! :)

    Hi Jim,

I would first like to start off by saying that people like yourself and Dr. Ann Wigmore are truly God-sent leaders that have changed the lives of many. I would personally like to thank you for changing mine.

The reason why I would like to win this course is so that I too can become an inspirational leader, taking everything I learn and sharing it with thousands. I am unfortunately unable to receive government funding for any schooling, so as my hobby, I borrow books from the library and spend countless hours on the internet, educating myself on absolutely anything I can regarding live raw food nutrition and everything that goes along with it. My goal is to one day open a wellness centre that will educate people on reversing illness through diet…the sooner I can obtain the proper education, the sooner I can help many. Health and nutrition are my die-hard passion, I simply just cannot get enough, so I can assure you that your materials would not be wasted if given to me. The information would not stop with me, it would be the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you very much for your consideration. Anastasia.

So happy to see how many people responded. There is a big shif taking place and can only get better from here on in. This probably is not allowed but I would love to give my votes ( 4) to another entry as I just don’t have many family or friends of whom are ready to support the healing shift at this time and getting them to take the time to vote would mean lots of begging :) I will purchase the program when the time is right for me. In the mean time I will continue growing my wheatgrass and studying everything that your site has to offer. Jim thank you once again for the chance, it was healing in itself.
Good Luck to all you beautiful people !!!

She’s totally committed to eating raw and she’s an inspiration to others. She has the time to study the course and to give back to others through her networking. She’s a Social Worker that wears her heart on her sleeves and has taught others that “Yes they can do it!” My vote goes to 155#

    Hi everyone,
Thanks to the many people who are voting for me! I have tried so hard to help our children over the past 13 years. Despite my best efforts, they have faced one health crisis or challenge after the next. I have been studying raw foods for awhile on my own, and I would love to gain increased knowledge in order to make my efforts more effective. We have been bogged down by medical and therapy bills for many years now, and there must be a better way! If you entered this contest and are not participating in the voting now, I respectfully ask that you consider giving your votes to me (#24) on behalf of my children who will surely benefit from this. I know alot of people deserve to win, but I will never give up when it comes to helping my babies!!! (They are 1 month, 1 1/2 yrs, 3, 5, 8, 9, 11 & 13). Thank you and God Bless you all!!!

    Hi Everyone:
Thank you everyone for voting for 155#. It’s just awesome that many of you have read the post and have read between the lines to sense my passion, heart and need. I have tried to live a healthy lifestyle most of my life but swayed from the SAD diet to a healthy one on and off until I had the stroke last year. Having the stroke was an eyeopener for me and my family/friends. A disease attacking your body is no respecter of ones age. I am passionate in living a 100% Raw lifestyle and have seen miraculous results in the past 2 months. I want to share with those around me that are sick and tired, but I do not have the finances for the course. I lack knowledge and certification to be taken seriously. I have the time, energy and passion to learn as much as I can and then to share and inspire others. If your new to the website and have not voted as of yet, please take time to vote and I would appreciate your support (#155)so I can take the knowledge, apply it to my own life, my family members and children, and with the practitioner certification become a Raw Food Coach and give back to the community-from the young to the baby boomers to the older adults. Life is filled with so many pressures and to be able to touch someones life by sharing and inspiring them to sprout, eat greens and live a healthy lifestyle through eating raw foods would be a gift in itself. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. May God Richly Bless you all!

    1. Why you feel that you should win the course: Because I don’t know how I’ll stay RAW any other way. I’ve tried and failed many times because I don’t know the proper way to do it without going into sugar and yeast shock. I don’t have any RAW friends to get ideas from.
    2. Why you feel that the raw food diet will help you achieve greater health: Because I’m so low that all I need is to go up. I am tired bloated and yucky. I’ve never been a couch mom, but now my toddlers watch mommy lay on the couch in the evenings after work. I have no energy for them and it hurts.
